I was on amazon and I noticed that there were a lot of third party sellers selling the book. I noticed my local comic shop was listed as selling it, so I gave them a call to verify - since I had thought it had been delayed until December or next year. The owner said it came out a month ago and they have two copies of the book. He was looking at a copy as we spoke.

Great news!

Yeah, Amazon changed the release date to September 27 lately.

I would like to see that.
I'm also interested in the Duck Artists (Barks, Rosa, etc.) in other comics rather than Duck Comics.

I am now reading the book. It is beautiful.

I got the book now and I must say I'm a bit disappointed.
Obviously, the stories were scanned from the 1940s comic books, which makes the art appear muddy in places and has a slightly blurred look overall. I would have preferred it if IDW had used the original line art and re-colored it, as the Norwegians did in the supplemental volume of the Carl Barks Collection.
Add to that the fact that the book omits more than 70 pages of Barks's non-Disney comics and it's ... well, probably worth its price. But not really the big hit it could have been.

Maybe it was their intent to reprint the stories featuring both Barney Bear and Benny Burro only. There are three solo Benny Burro stories not in the volume from Our Gang 8-10.
It is a great volume nonetheless.
