Hey guys:
As someone who is fully entrenched in American Disney comics, my only acquaintance with the European Disney titles has been through reprints in the American books.
I was wondering what websites/articles/resources (mostly of an historical nature) you could recommend that would help me start to grasp the many wonders of the European titles. I can rattle off Disney comics history in the States. But the many facets and nuances to the European Disney books still elude me.
Thanks for you help!
Best,
Pete

Start with Frank Stajano's great article about the history of Italian Disney comics:

Arthur de Wolf's "Disney Comics Around The World" website has lists of all the Disney comic book series' country by country, with the years running/history of each series. There are also cover scans. It is a great source for what you want.

Pete, on my "Virtual Inkwell" homepage you can download a (now rather dated) international history of Disney comics that I wrote in 2003??see the link in my sig and look for the title "Back to Long Ago."
This isn't as in-depth as I'd like, and incorporates what I now know to be a few minor errors (i. e. Eleanor Packer editing the first WDC&S; apparently she didn't), but it's at least a good starting point.
