Terrible, terrible news; my condolences to his family. He was one of the most articulate and thorough commentators on Disney comics and cartoons on the Internet; it's sad to think he passed away just before the comics started being published again. Speaking for myself, I owe him a debt for re-kindling my childhood love for DuckTales, and helping me to rediscover it all over again in recent years; I, like many others, will miss him.

Terrible news indeed. I remember when I first got into Disney-comics fandom as an adult, he was one of the first commentators I came across. As you say, very smart and articulate, and as far as I was able to tell, a hell of a guy.

Aw, wow. I first remember encountering him as a fixture in the Disney Comics letter pages back in the day.

Very sad news. I'm shocked.
I remember discovering his blog about the time he started his Duck Tales retrospective series. Since then I consider myself his fan. I loved rereading some of his articles in the past and I will enjoy rereading them in the future. From His articles Chris not only appear to be very intelligent and passionate about stuff he loved but also honest, nice and... what is rare in today's modern world of the internet geekdom... non-cynical. From his blog and some conversations I had with him (on forum, email, comments on his blog) I got a picture of a very pleasant and warm man. I'll will miss him.

I can read Torcivia's duck commentaries all day. When Gemstone published the stories, I used to really look forward to his comments.
