There is a new Disney TPB from Boom that is listed on Amazon. It is Walt Disney Treasury: Donald Duck Volume 3. It is another Don Rosa collection and is scheduled to be published on October 4th. I am very glad to hear of another Rosa collection - hopefully Boom will collect all his stories in TPB format.
At the same time, the TPB Disney's Four-Color Adventures Volume 1 is no longer listed on Amazon at all. Hopefully this is just an accidental deletion or perhaps it has just been delayed.
I am a bit worried though that perhaps Boom has decided that the only Disney TPBs it wants to publish are Rosa collections. While I love the Rosa collections, I would be very disappointed if they were the only Disney TPBs that Boom would publish.
Perhaps Chip or someone else at Boom could let us know about the fate of the Four-Color Volume. I apologize in advance Chip if my mentioning a Donald Duck Volume 3 broke some kind of "news embargo". :)

Man, I'd really be upset if Four-Color Adventures were canceled. That's definitely the one I've been the most excited about.

You all need to stop putting so much stock in Amazon listings... let me tell you, at most big publishing houses correcting and updating Amazon's listing mistakes is usually a full time job for someone. It is actually pretty ridiculous, but that is not either here nor there. So let me address a couple of things:
1. The is no Walt Disney Treasury Vol. 3 with Don Rosa work. I have no idea where this is coming from...will need to make some calls in the morning to fix.
2. Have no idea why Four Color Vol. 1 is down. Will also have to make a call and address that in the morning.
I just really didn't want you all to go off on some weird tangent as I know how important these book are to you. They are that important to us too. And... ya made me break my own rule about posting here. Darn you guys!!! I can always be found here at our Disney Forum -- http://forums.boom-studios.com/viewforum.php?f=8

I'm not intimately familiar with the ins and outs of any of this stuff, but for what it's worth, according to the dude who runs the unofficial Don Rosa facebook page, these Rosa TPBs are being published without Rosa's permission/authorization. Of course, Boom has the legal right to do this (as far as I know), but it seems a li'l shady.

In awhile Don Rosa will require the property of Uncle Scrooge! He is just one of many excellent artists who have made ????comics for Disney.

Well THAT was about the most nonsensical possible response to that. Well done.

Boom can publish his work all they want, but they no longer have permission to publish "Don Rosa collections" or to print any of his text pieces.

The Brazilian reprint of Life & Times has no sign of the name of mr. Rosa. For the same reason. But, sorry, except the nerds, nobody knows in Brazil who is Don Rosa. And Life & Times has sold out the same way.

I don't see how that's even slightly relevant to the issue at hand.

Regarding Don Rosa's not being involved with the Boom Donald Duck Treasury and not making money off it.
I was first angry and decided I would not support this book since Don's not getting money or royalties from it.
Then I decided on a better idea -- I'm going to buy the book -- and send Don Rosa a check for part of the book - say half of the book or a portion of it - that way he'll receive something from it. It's not a lot by any means but at least he'll have made some money from it - if we look at it in this respect.
I think there's a few people out there who know where to send him a letter or who can forward a letter to him that would be great.
