KJZ 136 was drawn by S. De Stefano into a 1930s' style and is told about the sequel of an old adventure by Gottfredson.
Could anyone who has the story (I haven't) tell me the plot or a summary and post some any scan?
Thank you, it's very important for me 'cause I'm goin' to interview De Stefano and I wanted to see some his art into a Goot's style.

Well Simone I have the story in Disney Adventures Magazine #s 35, and 36. Mickey Minnie, and Horace go to Blaggard Castle but it doesn't look the same as it did on their previous visit. The Villain they encounter is not one of the professors they encountered on their previous visit but it's The Phantom Blot. Is that information good enough for you?

I've never read KJZ 136, but I have a giveaway comic called "The Perils of Mickey" (not in inducks yet).



It contains three 2-page stories that looks like VERY short summaries of old newspaper series. I wonder if DeStefano is the artist of those too.

Did DeStefano collaborate to cartoon as "Runaway Brain"?

Thery are pretty good but not as good as DeStephanos work, so they seems to me...

Stephen DeStephano is really great artist, his art is mixture of old and new, American and European styles with the hint of manga. Look for his latest (non-Disney) work on his blog:

They are mentioned but they don't actually appear except in a photograph. . The Blot is disguised as one of the professors.

I think Stefano did a two part Phantom Blot story for Mickey Mouse Adventures (Disney Series) #s 7 and 8 and Space Mickey and the Throgg Ray Wars for Disney Adventures #s 21-23. I have the latter but not the former.

In the web, I've found a few scans from a DeStefano's story and I think those three are his ones!

I've now three questions:

- Is that in the image posted by me The Blot in disguise?
- Is explained in the story why the castle looks different or that's DeStefano's point of view of it?
- Has DeStefano ever collaborated to the animation?
