What would it be? An April's fools day joke? A retranslated Rosa's story? A completely new story made in Brazil? Or... What?

If Donald ever needs money, he could likely get several thousand dollars by selling that movie cel that's hanging on the wall. It's from the 1934 Silly Symphony The Wise Little Hen, which marked the film debut of Donald Duck and Peter Pig. "Can you help me plant my corn?" "Oh no, I've got a belly ache!" I'd love to get a copy of that Donald Duck comic because it features so many characters from Disney animated films, even nearly-forgotten characters such as Sunflower from Hiawatha.

I thought this thread was about something else. But it begs the question, what have been the most important stories of these past 85 years?

I noiminate my favorite Carl Barks story, A Christmas For Shacktown (1952). How can anyone read that story and not feel compassion for those who are hungry and/or homeless?

So, we're talking about an important story, not a beautiful one.
So, what's an important story? It should be a beautiful story, of course, but it must be also the starting point for a character, or an explanation of himself.
So I could say The life and times of $crooge. It's the explanation of the Scrooge's personality.
But - Is it so important? Many authors don't take it as an important story, only beautiful.
Because in Disney there aren't important stories - all the authors can take another way. There are, instead, lots and lots of beautiful stories.

It's interesting. There is a panel from this story showing Della :

presumably giving her boys to Donald before she died/got lost in Trala-la/was abducted by aliens/win a long-long trip/went up stairs (see "Happy Days" to get the joke)/was transform into Magica/hide behind bushes for 10 years as a prank/<fill IN the blank...>

To be fair, she is still used in contemporary European Little Hiawatha stories.
