Today felt the first snow of the season in my hometown Hamburg, Germany. That's the reason to ask you for your favorite snow story from Disney.
My one is Truant Officer Donald from 1949 written by Carl Barks

Nobody drew snow like Paul Murry.
My favorite Murry snow-story is the one where Mickey and Goofy helps cutting down and selling christmas-trees - Goofy get's outfoxed by a fox, who steals his butter'n'jam and hence gets away from Black Pete, who is the antagonist along with his no-good friend, "Lusk" (in danish, that is!)
In the story you can almost hear the snow "squeeking" when they walk around in it!
Don't know which code it has - but I guess you know which story I refer to.
I, too, am going out into the woods "squeeking" with my dog , now! Lovely snowweather in Denmark too...

I like his style of art too, but can't remember a story with snow.
Do you mean this one: http://coa.inducks.org/s.php?c=W+CP++++7-02

My favorite snow story is The Ghost of Kamikaze Ridge. I think it's funny when Donald and the nephews try to have a picnic on a snowy mountain and Hank the Hermit tries to ruin it for them.

Gotta go with these Barks-tenpagers:

Scarpa's "The Blot's Double Mystery" has a nice wintery atmosphere, too.

I almost forgot about that one Sirred Knee. That was the first story I read that had The Phantom Blot in it.

Mine is also "Truant Officer Donald". The snow looked powdery and real in texture. Barks knew how snow acts. He drew manyother good ones. Tony Strobl and most of the other artists didn't know how to make it look real. They didn't know how to make it behave. William Van Horn also makes nice, powdery snow. He also knows how it falls. The flakes and clusters should come down randomly, not at regular distances.

It is hard to pick any specially "snowy" Barks story that stands out, maybe the above mentioned Truant Officer Donald is one candidate at least by "the good artist". I love the cover of Donald Duck Four Color 203 (The Golden Xmas Tree), a perfect Donald drawing by Barks.
But a Murry/Fallberg Mickey Mouse comic seems more easy to choose, with the The Big Christmas Tree Mystery from 1955 as one of my Murry favorites. Also by Murry/Fallberg The Monster of Sawtooth Mountain from WDC&S 220-222 is a sentimental favorite of mine since it was one of my first childhood memories from Disney comics in Sweden. The snow (and ice) play an important part of the plot.

"Topolino e la citta col brivido" (I TL 375-B, http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL++375-B) certainly is unforgettable.

The Barks' Christmas story where the nephews want a toy crane for Christmas and Scrooge and Donald think it's a real crane they want. It has a great opening panel and a big crane fight. It's a fun story and I need to go read it again as I've forgotten all the details.
