Topic: Carl Barks Collection (English)

I like to bring up an old topic. But I still don't give up hope, that someone will publish an English Carl Barks Collection (like the great European ones).
Does anyone hear about it from BOOM?

BTW: Amazon still shows the one announced by Gemstone ;)

I don't know if they have any plans for a Carl Barks Collection or not. It would be nice if they did though.

I wonder if the collection includes Pluto Saves the Ship and Mickey Mouse in The Riddle of the Hat as well as the stories from The Donald Duck Universe.

Egmont's Carl Barks Collection includes those stories, yes.

Quote from user: jeniferdesauzaBut the Library does not include the handful of Barks stories that featured non-Disney characters (Porky Pig, Droopy, Barney Bear, etc.) although reprints of those can be found if one searches diligently.
There are A LOT more than a handful of Barks MGM stories. He regularly wrote and drew Barney Bear & Benny Burro stories from 1943-1947(monthly), and also wrote and drew a few Benny Burros in 1943, 3 Happy Hound (Droopy) stories, one Andy Panda, and one Porky Pig.

Thanks Lars. I hope they publish an American Version soon.

The Barney Bear, Porky Pig stories etc. has just been reprinted in a thick hardcover book.
Matching the Scandinavian Barks library in format.
Posted about it a while ago on my blog:

Wow! What is great.

I really hope that BOOM (or someone else) will print the Barks collection in English soon.

I have received the long awaited "official" Bear Book.
It's all there, except Andy Panda, in excellent prints - so I'll just make a barrel of coffee and find a comfy chair and read, read, read...
:)
Edit: This is not an English version, though, but made of Norwegian wood!
