Italian Comics often feature the bin with a flat dome on top. According to Inducks, this was introduced by Romano Scarpa in "Paperino e l'aurite acuta", I TL 511-A (http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL++511-A), a very good story, by the way.
