I wonder if you have seen a Disney character in a comics or in non-Disney comics like movies, TV shows, picture books etc who have the strangest name to you? This is not only for english names but also for names in other languages. In D 94231, Brer Bear has a pet wolf-dog named "Adolf". Yes, I'm not kidding. ADOLF!!!!! But that's only in the english translation of this story. I wonder what is his name in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Italian versions of this story? I'm fine with Brer Bear having a wolf-dog but I prefer them to give him a better name.

In Disney's 1997-98 animated tv series 101 Dalmatians, the smallest dalmatian (the "runt of the litter") was named Cadpig. The name appears in the original novel by Dodie Smith. I have no idea what it means but I think it is a terrible name for a puppy. There is also a three-legged puppy named Tripod, which is a cute name in a way but it also seems mean and mocking. I found a picture of both puppies:

Yes, I also thought that Cadpig's name was strange for a puppy when I first heard of her name in the TV Series. I know that the name came from the original novel. Maybe do you thought that the name "Cadpig" will be a better name for a pig or something :P?

In English, a "cad" (shortened from "caddie") is defined as "an ill-bred man, especially one who behaves in a dishonorable or irresponsible way toward women; a bounder; a rascal." We all know what a pig is. Combiing "cad" with "pig" does not create a good name for a dalmatian puppy.
In the PKNA comics, there was a billionaire and inventor named Everett Ducklair. I imagine the last name is supposed to be a "duck" version of the common name Sinclair, but it looks like it should be pronounced as "duck lair" instead of "duh-clair." Perhaps that was the intent but I do not like the name.

Some non-duck characters in DuckTales have duck-based names, like Duckworth or Webra Walters, both of whom are dogfaced people, as well as Gandra Dee, who looks more like a chicken than a goose.
