Topic: Boom's Lo$ cover art at amazon

I'm still debating the LO$ purchase. I of course already have the Gemstone books, and usually try to avoid buying the same material twice, especially in a case like this where the coloring and presentation is likely to be the same.
But.....the binding on the Gemstone editions are so poor that I honestly don't read them for fear that they'll seperate. Not to mention that they're signed by Rosa.
Still.....to pay over $60 for something I've already got......

I have mint copies of all the original Gladstone L&T comics for the collector in me. And I have the 2 Gemstone books for reader copies (not to mention the online versions available to read). So, I will not be forking $66 over to Boom for new bindings.

Yeah, not to mention that I have the Gladstone printings in the regular US book.....and scans of the stories as well.

I already have the complete Lo$ series in 8 different publications, some of these even twice, but I've still decided to buy Boom's first Lo$ book (maybe the second one if it's nice).
I must be crazy. I swear, this is the last time I'm going to buy these stories! ;)

Interesting. So they will have two volumes of the original chapters and two volumes of the ancillary chapters. That's four volumes. I thought that the extra chapters were included in the deal.

I've already got Lo$ in the original hardcover, and Companion in the Gemstone TPB; so I don't have any immediate plans to buy Boom's version. If it had any radical changes (like the "companion" chapters inserted back into Lo$, or some new text pieces or something), I'd probably change my mind.

Also, regarding the Christmas book, if you click on 'surprise me' in Amazon, you will see random pages that show the Barks stories are 4-tier as they should be.

Quote from user: HiawathaAccording to Wikipedia, Life and Times will be two volumes, followed by the Companion at two volumes. So four total.
I didn't know that. That makes we reprint quite expensive.

Just to clarify, I don't know whether or not the four-volume description is true. Only that Wikipedia claims it, no source for the info is given.

There are at least two volumes of the series. It says so on the cover (Volume 1) ;)
And I found on the Amazon.co.uk site that the second volume is placed online already

Each Life of Scrooge book by Boom will have about 112 pages, and Gemstone's Lo$ and Companion books have a total of about 476 pages ... so I think we can assume that there will be at least 4 volumes.

It will be interesting to see if Amazon's cover scan will be identical to the cover of the published issue.
