Forgive me for asking this and probably seeming impatient; you usually reply quite fast, and I have had instances of e-mails bouncing back nearly a week later, so that I was unaware of the problem for several days; this might be another instance.

I've got Uncle Scrooge #381 yesterday.
Although I don't like 3row stories in big format books like Uncle Scrooge, this story was very good.
The Barks story was great :) and I didn't know it before :) :)

Why is it that someone in Germany already has US 381, when I have a subscription with Gemstone in USA to a US address (in a big city, near the airport), and yet I haven't even received my copy of #380 yet? I guess Gemstone doesn't have a priority in serving their own domestic subscribers. I am constantly 2 issues behind the European buyers. Maybe I should have listed my European address instead?

Sorry to hear you're in such a pickle?let me try and explain the situation as best I understand it. Subscription copies tend to take about a month to reach subscribers after their release. Unlike our direct sale copies, which take a one-step journey from Diamond Distributors to shops (both foreign and domestic), they take a two-step route from Diamond to our West Plains, Missouri ancillary office, and only then to our subscribers. In Missouri I believe they need to be checked in, counted for precision, and cataloged before being sent onward.
But that might explain a *one* month delay. Why are you *two* issues behind?
Because right now, we're heavily in the midst of catching up from a "dead" period at the start of this year where, you'll recollect, we had printing problems and other chaos that resulted in our releases getting about three months behind.
At present, we're putting out issues two or three weeks apart rather than once a month. So while you're two *issues* behind, you're still only approximately one *month* behind. You should get your US 380 anytime now, I hope and believe, with more to follow less than a month afterward.
