I don't know if Beru's Disney Comics Fanpage has anything to do with people not buying the actual Disney Comic books. If Gemstone didn't make them so expensive I think more people would buy them or subscribe to them in my case.

If Gemstone were to reduce the price, the quality will come down accordingly.

I think the pice is okay. It's not cheap, but Gemstone offers good quality and many pages.
The German Disney magazines cost between 3 and 5 EUR, but contain more ads.

Why not "Carl Barks Collection" published in French?
I will not have to cut all the stories of Carl Barks in my books! :(

Speaking just for myself, while I have the means to read every Barks story electronically, I strongly prefer having the physical books. It's easier to sit and share with my kids. I have a large collection of trades and hardcovers from many publishers, all of which I could "find" free if I looked, but regardless of the legality of it, I simply like owning books. :)
And yes, IMO Gemstone's prices are too high, particularly for this (hopefully) forthcoming Barks collection. Marvel and DC charge around $50 US less for similar collections. Even with the Amazon discount, you're still paying $100. I complain about Gemstone's pricing too much though, so I hesitated to bring it up again unless someone else did.

Unfortunately, there's no way to get around the fact that Gemstone's market is very small, and very small print runs make for high individual book cost.
