Very interesting, but due to price point I'll have to stick with my Gemstone copies of the Life and the Companion. Considering when I bought those, I was pretty lucky for retail on that- by the time I bought Life, the Gemstone one wasn't selling anywhere for less than 70. Ebay delivers sometimes.

Quote from user: DarkAshHi. Has anyone heard when this will finally be released? It looks like it was postponed from April 15 to May 6.
As of now, May 8, still no news. :(

Don Rosa's Facebook page and IDW's Facebook page both include the October 8 2014 press release about the Scrooge Artist's Edition and neither page has been updated. Amazon, which offers almost every book ever published, is not offering the book. The UK Forbidden Planet site offers the book and says it was published in April 2015. The site also says "Stock on the way soon." Did Forbidden Planet somehow get a few copies and sell out? Or is the "April 2015" publication date wrong? Forbidden Planet is offering the book for £103.85, one third off the regular price of £155.00. That is the equivalent of $160 US, one third off the regular price of $240. How many of us, other than Uncle Scrooge, will be able to afford it?

I know, I just figure for the three extra seconds I can cover my bases and be respectful to the person who posted it.

I also know my luck. The one time I don't is the one time I have someone take it personal cause unnecessary headaches. =)

Only for pick-up in person, as far as i can figure out. I tried to order a copy, but couldn't make it to work. Living in the Netherlands, I won't be able to make it to San Diego. If anyone can help out, I would really appreciate it.

I think $100 for the regular artist's edition is a fair price.
I'd love to get my hands on the alternative cover, but with only 100 copies I don't see that happening.
Frik
there are only 100 copies of this alternate San Diego Comic Con edition?
