As most of you know from 2003 to 2008 Disney comics were published by Gemstone. Walt Disney's Comics #699-#707, Uncle Scrooge #384-#392 and several other titles were solicited but never published. I noticed that different sources solicited entirely different issues with the same number.
For example:
Uncle Scrooge #388
Amazon
http://www.amazon.ca/Uncle-Scrooge-388-Miquel-Pujol/dp/1603600884/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425325466&sr=8-1&keywords=Uncle+Scrooge+%23388
Decades in the past, Scrooge vowed to split a gold strike with mining pal Blair Dunwitty. Today, con men occupy Scrooge's money bin, claiming to be Dunwitty's heirs! Scrooge can only roust them by finding Dunwitty alive... but vicious thugs don't make that easy in Miquel Pujol's awesome, epic-length "Grand Canyon Conquest!" Up next, Scrooge tries bear-taming in Daan Jippes' "Scrappy Mettle"; then Donald wins a screenwriting gig from "Film-Buff.com," leading to a blockbuster like Tinseltown's never seen!
Comixology
https://pulllist.comixology.com/sku/JAN094237/Uncle-Scrooge-388
In Bas Heymans' feature-length 'Shiver Me Timbers,' Scrooge's pirate treasure quest gets him shanghaied aboard a genuine ghost ship-where three ancient buccaneers have dire plans for the ducks! Then Michael T. Gilbert (Mr. Monster) brings us back to Carl Barks' underground world of Terry Fermy in 'Master of Disaster!
There are several examples of this but i only listed one because otherwise this post would be too big. Is there a reason why the contents are entirely different? Does anyone know what the final version would have been had it been published?

Issue #388 was published by Boom! and not Gemstone, and features the story, "Around the World in 80 Bucks." The issue had 3 cover variants: http://coa.inducks.org/publication.php?c=us/US
Amazon is wrong and so is Comixology. In fact, Gemstone's last Uncle Scrooge issue was #383.

I understand that Boom ended up publishing Uncle Scrooge #388 and i understand that neither of the two that i mentioned in my post were published. My question was: What would have been published had Gemstone published it. I'm sorry if i haven't made that clear. English isn't my first language.

For what it's worth, I understood your question from the first post, marrk: Which of these two was the actual proposed Gemstone U$ 388? But I don't know the answer. Perhaps someone Gemstone-related will enlighten us (if, indeed, anyone remembers what their plans were that far out).

Here is a funny fact.
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories was published by Gemstone until #698 (November 2008) then Boom took over starting the following year from #699 (October 2009).
However, Gemstone had apparently already planned several of the following issues, including Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #704 (supposed for April 2009). This never printed issue would have had a lot of interesting stories.

Wow! I hope the Donald and Gladstone story eventually sees print. As for the Mickey Mouse story that features Fish Out Of Water, by any chance would that be the same character that Dan Molina voiced in Disney's 2005 movie Chicken Little? It was a goldfish who was...well, out of water...and wore a scuba diving helmet filled with water. He communicated with "blubs" and "glubs" and other sounds. I thought Fish Out Of Water was a clever concept for a character but one which probably would not lend itself to many stories.

You can find cover images, and authors on Amazon of what Gemstone was planning to publish in Walt Disneys Comics and Stories through issue 707, and Uncle Scrooge 392. You can also find images for a volume 4 and a volume 5 of their Barks/Rosa collection that was never published.
Boom printed their own version of what was going to be volume 4(Stone Ray/ Cash Flow). It would also appear that toward the end of their run they printed a few other things that Gemstone had in the works.

Ehy... A story called "Shiver me Timbers" from the same authors will be published in US #2 by IDW.
So, the same title may mean the same translation, isn't it?

I analyze all descriptions comics which announced by Gemstone, but not released. I'll check if these comics were released in the US or not. It is interesting that both comics announced in March 2009 (WDC 703 and US 388) are two completely different announcements.
WDC 699-707, US 384-392, WDT 3-4, VPE 6, WDSFG 3, DRL 1, DDFDJ 2, BRC 4-5, MMAG 13-14, DDAG 22-23,
based on http://www.planetagibi.net/2009/08/da-serie-capas-ineditas-gemstone.html plus some comics that have found
WDC 699
"Donald Duck and his nephews are at war! In Byron Erickson's "Oh, Grow Up!" duck and ducklings renouce all responsibilities to each other... with Donald enjoying an oafish second shildhood while the kids ineptly run the house! Then, in Carl Barks' classic "Gold Finder," Heuy, Dewey, and Louie earn Donald's and Daisy's ire with a destructive new invention, while Bucky Bug battles pirates in an all-new high-seas saga. Finally, in the conclusion of Floyd Gottfredson's "Boxing Champion," Ruff House Rat is down for the count... leaving Mickey and Butch to fight the murderous Creamo Catnera in his place!"

"It's Gemstone's 700th issue - an unprecedented 80-page giant! "Seven-Hundredth Heaven," Daan Jippes' epic Donald and Scrooge adventure, co-stars nearly every Disney hero who's ever appeared in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories! Our backup tales break the Disney fourth wall, too: William Van Horn's "Close-Ups" has Donald, Uncle Rumpus and the gang critiquing their own writer/artist; Gil Turner's "Turtle Soup" has Donald leaving Duckburg to cross swords with Zeke Wolf; and Lars Jensen's "Nothing New" introduces Hackney McWebfoot, Donald's snarky comics writer cousin! Part one of Floyd Gottfredson's 1932 Mickey Mouse adventure, "Mickey Mouse Sails for Treasure Island," is icing on the anniversary cake!"

"When Pat McGreal's "Steel Duck" Donald challenges TV's top chef on the country's hottest cooking show, it's not long before the program mutates into a huge, super-vicious food fight! In Sarah Kinney's "Goofy Goes Olympus," the Goof falls in love with a Greek goddess; then Paul Murry's Big Bad Wolf launches "The Clubhouse Caper" to crash the Three Pigs' new lodge. Ben Verhagen's Huey, Dewey, and Louie enjoy a winter's feud in "Frozen Duck" and a bout of gluttony in Carl Barks' classic "Jam Robbers." Frank Jonker's Big Bad Wolf sics his nasty nephew on his goody-goody son, but "Is Izzy As He Was?" Finally, Donald tries turning a thug into a gentleman in Stefan Petrucha's "Bumrisk Go Lightly"... and takes an unexpected Jurassic trek in William Van Horn's "Just In Time!"

Next, it's raining monkeys in the final chapter of Floyd Gottfredson's "Mickey Mouse Sails For Treasure Island" -- with the climactic battle between Mickey, Pegleg Pete, a gorilla army, and the enigmatic Bill Shakespeare! Wrapping up the issue are two outrageous comedies: Carl Barks presents Huey, Dewey, and Louie's classic "Picnic Tricks," while Byron Erickson's Duck Avenger fights the forces of "Sound and Fury!"

I don't want IDW to reprint any Barks stories. We're getting all those (just as they looked originally) in The Fantagraphics hardbounds). I want to get the stories by Jippes, Branca, Gulbransson, Scarpa, Van Horn, Milton, better ones by Vicar and others that haven't been printed yet in English, and the long stories by Gottfredson that haven't yet been printed in colour in large format in USA or in The Netherlands. I'm getting the Fantagraphics Mickey Mouse. But I want all the dailies through 1955 in colour, too.
