I have been a Disney fan as soon as I could read but my favourite comic books were always the American comics (especially Gold Key) and the Belgian "Mickey Magazine".
Because of the Boom Kids disaster I abandoned the recent American comics.
Presently I am working on a Peter Pan project that encompasses not only comic books but everything else that is not too threedimensial (like pins & dolls).
I already have the main American comics.
Unusually interesting was an old British Disney comic book from the 1950s which told the original story of Peter Pan, not that of the Disney movie. The Neverbird appeared and Wendy's house was shown, all illustrated in true Disney style! Scenes missing from the movie!
I found three more Disney BOOKS from Great Britain during the 1950s and in two books the original story was also told, lavishly illustrated in Disney style. (My niece wants to remark that Peter even appeared shirtless on the Neverbird's nest using his shirt as a sail.) The last book was so abridged I really can not tell whether it tells the Disney version or the original.
If anyone has knowledge of more unusual Peter Pan material please let me know.

Sounds like an interesting project.
There were two different British series of Peter Pan comics going on in the 50's. The first one was a movie adaption in Mickey Mouse Weekly. According to inducks it went on from #673 to #697. I scanned the only two parts I have:

The other one was a series of one-page original gags under the title "Peter Pan and Captain Hook the Crook". They were printed in Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney's Weekly (both a continuation of Mickey Mouse Weekly). Inducks list 14 of these, but I know there are more. Two examples:

Another not that rare, but unusual Peter Pan appearance is in the Kingdom Hearts game series. Here is a page from volume 3 of the manga adaption:

Highly interesting items.
I was aware of an appearance of Peter Pan in the Kingdom of Hearts series for I bought a lot of cards with Peter Pan related characters.
(How do you opload scans on this Forum?)
Can you give me the data on the manga adaption?
I am familiar with the old British Weekly. It has lots of interesting stuff. But I only have two or three dozens of these from 1944 till 1959 I think. I will dig them up. Most were given to me by the late Bob Hayden of Liverpool, a Disneyana enthusiast.
Recently I found more Peter Pan stuff in more recent UK Disney mags: "Disney Time"and "Disneyland". Long ago I got those from Bob too but remembered these when I bought a missing issue..
Meanwhile I will try to relocate the link to the old UK comic book for it is on the Internet.

I could not find the link to the old UK comic book but it is on EBay right now
.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231138537132?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
I found more weird stuff:
-drawings of Peter Pan long before the movie was finished:
Wendy with pigtails, Tinkerbell with dark hair!
These drawing are in old US Disney book of around 1944. I bought it in the States but it is still with a friend.
Again pages are on the Internet; I have even posted these on Facebook!
-a deck of Disney playing cards from the Argentine. They are so out of character they are amazing! Every character from Peter Pan with swords: Wendy with a sword, Tinkerbell with a sword, little Michael with a real sword too!
I bought them from the Argentine; even have a spare.
Of course Neverland like Wonderland and the world of Fantasia can be interpreted in quite surrealist fashion.
After all Neverland's creator, sir James Barrie, made it into a Victorian nursery version of the Avalon of Celtic mythology.....

The story about the curious British Disney versions of the 1950s and published by Brockhampton Press are fully documented on
http://www.michaelspornanimation.com/splog/index.php?s=peter+pan&submit=Search
Meanwhile the early versions of Peter Pan can be found in the Walt Disney Surprise Package book of 1944
Again well documented on:
http://2719hyperion.blogspot.nl/2011/06/walt-disneys-surprise-package-peter-pan.html
A Christmas card with the very same "Ur" versions of the Peter Pan characters appeared in the early 1950s..
In the meantime I will compare the Peter Pan strip in the old UK weekly with the Peter Pan newspaper strip .
However, I will use the version easiest available to me: that of the French "Journal de Mickey"when the movie first came out.
It is identical to the version given by the ancient Belgian "Mickey Magazine"....
By the way, the most recent version of the Peter Pan strip in Britain looks redrawn, possibly by Dutch artists?
I really must upload scans on this Forum but how does one do this?

Hoi Johan.
You can save the scans in files at some address on the Internet, such as Photobucket, Imageshack, or the like, and send a link to that Internet page. There is also an "upload tool" on each forum page, in the lower right hand corner at the page's bottom, that is a link, written in blue letters. Click on it, and you will see instructions for how to use it, Goed geluk!

The Kingdom Hearts scan is from episode 33 in the English TokyoPop print. It's not currently added to inducks, but here is an Amazon link.
I forgot all about that Peter Pan comic in your eBay link. I actually got a copy of that one too. Some scans (click on the image to enlarge it):

For uploading scans, the easiest and best way is to use this forums upload tool. Then, as long as the forum exists you can be sure the image in the post is there too.

Glad you loved the old British stuff.
Well, the weirdest Peter Pan story in existence is the advertising strip from the Admiral company
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-ADVENTURES-OF-PETER-PAN-Walt-Disney-RARE-MINI-GIVEAWAY-PROMO-ADMIRAL-1953/201143309916?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140212142147%26meid%3D5de2e40231df45b7a121effc6541a45c%26pid%3D100085%26prg%3D20140212142147%26rkt%3D3%26clkid%3D9081250813354198815&_qi=RTM1793412
Wendy as a kitchen slave and Captain Hook saying "Dear Boy"to Peter Pan!?!?!
Yet, the drawings are beautiful; far above average....

I know next to nothing about Kingdom Hearts but episode 33 is contained in volume 3? For there the Amazon link led me?
Sorry to be a nitwit about manga. Though I have a lovely non-Disney Peter Pan manga comic about Peter Pan with blonde hair and I am a terrific fan of the non-Disney TV series "Peter Pan and Wendy" from Nippon Animation; I went as far as to buy the Japanese DVDs.

I just was conned out of the most recent Peter Pan adaptation in the UK.
The seller simply refused me though I had won the auction.
Does anyone know another copy for sale?

Well, I finally unearthed the French versions of the Peter Pan story. Save one all versions are virtually identical. The art resembles that of the newspaper strip to the slightest detail. Same panels, same artist
As for the British weekly: this is most probably NOT the newspaper strip. The art resembles that of the newspaper artist but not one panel is the same. Conclusion: either a redrawn version or a different version by possibly the same artist.
The problem is that I have not the newspaper strip.
But three installment are for sale on EBay:

I think 3 samples are enough to establish the identity between the French version and the old newspaper strip...

Well, I made a survey of Peter Pan in the British Disney weeklies:
First I unearthed my hoard of old British Disney comics: I have 62 from 1942 till 1958.
The last issues were "Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse" from May 24,1958 up to and including July 12, 1958.
These comics all included the "Peter Pan and Captain Hook"page.
I will re-read these but they very much reminded me of "The Walrus and the Carpenter" pages in "The Wonderful World of Disney", a shortlived sistermag of "Disneyland".
Same typical British humor. Probably by the same writer, if not by the same artist.
Unfortunately I have no issues of "Mickey Mouse Weekly"dating from 1953 with the movie adaptation,.
Next month I hope to remedy this for the art looked great!
