Topic: Who's who in duckburg special booklet

There is a special booklet "Who's who in duckburg" in the latest Picsou Magazine issue (#496). The author is Arnaud Hillmarcher (depecited below).

It is a very nice piece of work covering many little-known characters with in-depth analysis and many amazing details. A must-have.

Just one L ;)

Glad you like it ! It was great fun to write this booklet, I had to re-read many stories I hadn't since childhood.

I sometimes dress more casually, you know !

Nice photo, Arnaud!
I'd love to get the Duckburg booklet. Does anyone know of any way for someone in the USA to get the current issue of Picsou? So far, I've just waited for issues I wanted to show up on ebay.fr...but in this case, there's the risk that a used issue wouldn't include Arnaud's booklet. Is there a store that would sell me the current issue (and not charge outrageous shipping fees)?

Is there an English translation of this article?
Arnaud
It's published in France by Disney Hachette Presse, so sadly not.
I could translate it but it'd take hours but I'm not sure my publisher would be happy, and my english is less than perfect... Don't worry however ; it's aimed at a large public so I don't think specialists would learn much from it. ;)
Translation of the link ? Try here : http://translate.google.fr/translate?hl=fr&sl=fr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.journaux.fr%2Fpicsou-magazine_8-a-11-ans-presse-junior_enfant_84083.html ("?¬ 3.50 In print Acheter ce numéro")

Thanks for posting the links to Journaux, Arnaud. Their shipping to the USA is rather pricey, though--7,30 euros, making the total cost of the issue $14.50. I wonder, isn't Picsou sold in Canada? Does anyone know whether there's a way to get a current issue from Canada at a more reasonable total cost? Though maybe I just think it's sold in Canada because I've bought used issues from Canada....

You're absolutely right, it's sold in Québec (I used to live there)
Don't know where to buy it online however...

Don't Worry about it.

If you're interested, we just issued a birthday special about Donald. As usual I wrote the texts with Pascal Pierrey :

The cover's background isn't really black but golden and embossed. There'll be another one in a few weeks.

Is it available in English? :)

Looking good, Roberto! Are there also comics in it?

Many : Taliaferro, Barks, Cavazzano, Rosa. I didn't choose the stories, otherwise I'd have published Perego only. (Roberto is a turkey, I'm not !)

Just logical ; Dhp is a licenser for french-speaking countries, they have no reason to publish their magazines in english.
What's sad is the lack of an american publisher for Disney comics, but that's a whole different problem. (Of course, Fantagraphics does great work with the anthologies.)
