Hi everyone! Does anybody know this story?: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=B+870072
Judging from the INDUCKS scan, it features both Magica De Spell's mother and Madam Mim's mother. Unfortunately, I can't read/write Brazillian. So is there any fan on this forum who could answer this questions about the story?
1) Are the two ladies who can be seen flying their broomsticks on the INDUCKS scan of the first page of the story actually the mothers of Madam Mim and Magica De Spell?
2) Are their names mentoined somewhere in the story?
3) Does anybody have scans of the mothers of Madam Mim and Magica De Spell from the story? (the INDUCKS scans are very unclear).
4) Do any other notable characters appear in the story?

I don't have access to the story, Scroogerello, but looking at the Inducks scan, I'd be very surprised if those two witches were *not* the mothers of Mim and Magica. They look similar to M & M, they each have a baby in tow, and the plot summary says it's about M & M meeting in childhood. Who else could they be? And yes, I'm also curious to know what they were named. Not that I am at all convinced by the large bunch of stories (mostly not published in the USA) that threw M & M together as pals. First of all, they're not both witches in my mind (I'm with Rosa on this point); Mim is a witch with innate powers and Magica is a sorceress who needs magical or mechanical apparatus or spells that are the occult version of recipes or formulas. Second of all, Magica is obsessed with getting the #1 dime to make her power amulet, while Mim is quite indifferent to, even mystified by, the whole idea of money. She can make what she needs, but she lives quite simply by choice, in a cabin with her cat (in the stories I grew up with). I can't see them having anything much in common.

As far as I know, there's no comic book story called Scroogerello. I used the name of the Ducktales episode as my username.

A higher resolution scan

I have studied both Portuguese and Brazilian and there are some noticeable grammatical differences between Brazilian-Portuguese and Portuguese. I was told these differences have somewhat shrinked because of the influence of Brazilian telenovelas, but this seems nevertheless more important (to me) than the difference between American-English and English. But then even in Brazil there are some differences between regions.
