Huh. Unless I'm very much mistaken, that "Surreal Destiny" story must be the one that Boom originally announced for publication in WDC 720--but then they abruptly decided to cease publication, so they devoted 720 to the second part of "The Treasure of Marco Topo," which had originally been slated for the never-to-be-published ("So far!" he said, with insane optimism) Mickey Mouse 310. I always thought it was just unbelievably chintzy of them not to at the very least go out with a bang by making 720 a double issue and publishing the both of them. Seems like a final "fuck you" to fans. At this point, I think we can just go ahead and say it: in spite of publishing some good material, Boom was overall a pretty damned pathetic operation.

Speaking of modernization of Mickey and BOOM! stuff not to be published, you should check out this gallery.
Of Mice and Mysteries by Jonathan Gray is a story I like to see finished some day!

Not bad at all! I'm very interested in the buildup to such a climax.

Quote from user: ArtemiBtw, are there news if Greece is ever going to bring the Disney comic line back?
Until now, no, nothing new :( I hope someday a new company will pick up the license and continue with the publications.
GeoX, I liked the BOOM approach to the Disney contract for the most part. They brought "new" stories from Italy for the US readers, published some very nice TPBs and they created some nice brand new stories. Darkwing Duck was awesome, only for those TPBs I think that it was worth it. Ok, the new Ducktales were nothing special, but at least they tried.

Yes, it's really a shame, I mean, 50 years of continuous publications and then...
Let's hope for the better.

I think the Disney Junior Magazine is still being published in the UK, though it is aimed at very young readers and the strip content is pretty minimal (about four pages).
