As Boom! got their Disney licence revoked, does anyone know or read if there are any plans to make the comics from the Ducks alive again?
Roger North
I'm sorry but I don't know if there are or not. I hope they will bring them back though.

I thout that the rumours (industry scuttlebutt) was that Disney would allow their own Marvel to handel the Disney lines. If so, would that mean there would be NO traditional Duck and Mice comics (only recent movie related and recent TV related lines)?

There most likely will be new comics from Disney Publishing (and distributed by Marvel) in the not too distant future. They've already reactivated their social network accounts.

Please let us know if you find out anything else about Marvel Disney Comics Company.

I had stopped buying Boom! Uncle Scrooge years ago. When did they stop producing this line and do you know why?
Robb_K
Boom! lost the franchise for Disney traditional comics. They had only published a handful of each title. You "stopped" buying, possibly missing only one or two issues, at most.
Roger North
Boom lost their Disney license last November. That was almost a year ago.

I just checked the INDUCKS Uncle Scrooge page and it appears Boom! only published 20 issues, #384-404. From what I recall, and the reason I stopped buying these shortly after the first issue, the quality of the magazine left a lot to be desired in comparison to their predecessors, Gladstone and Gemstone, both in substance and presentation. Anyone know exactly why Boom! lost the license? I imagine it had to do with slumping sales and profit margin...
Roger North
I think it's because they didn't care too much about the Disney Comics.

That would be nice...and maybe more Disney Duck Comics that didn't make it to the U.S. as of now can finally make it here!
Roger North
I hope you're right Mr. Cleveland. It would be nice to see traditional Disney Comics in America again.

You and me both...

According to what I could gather here and there, it seems there are definitely plans for more classics Disney and Disney Afternoon books. But they are "plans", meaning they may not have been green lighted yet.
But considering the social accounts are active again, I think there's definitely something upcoming! (NYCC maybe?)
Roger North
I hope you are right about that. Maybe this time they will be easier to get.
