I mostly avoid using profanity on this board, but in this case I think the only appropriate response is: SO FUCKING COOL.

Thank God. The exact right people to handle this. And it's not an HD update either, an actual updated remake with new levels.
Awesome.

Wow! This is really awesome!
And this could bring back attention to Disney comics - I hope!

This is beyond awzome, amazing and fanastic :D :D :D

That does sound pretty cool. Do you think they might remake other Disney Afternoon type games like Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers or Darkwing Duck or any other game like that?
Mr. M
I wonder will it include some characters the oryginl game didn't like Gizmoduck or Bubba... Heck! A cameo by Donald would be great ;)

EDIT 1 : It appears my memory of this game isn't as good as (well) I rembmer...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckTales_(video_game) - it appears almost every Duck Tales character was in the oryginal game... I was pretty sure Gizmoduck and Bubba didn't appear in it...

EDIT 2
Wikipedia say about the remake :

"Many of the original game's levels are featured, along with new areas added for the remake and new boss patterns The game will feature a 2.5D presentation, with 2D characters mixed with 3D-modeled levels, as well as voice acting by the original cast of the animated series. The game will be released for Wii U Eshop, Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation Network in Summer 2013"

EDIT 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL2xLveJCL8 - Pretty cute review of the oryginal game by The Angy Video Game Nerd. "Now imagine flying into someone elses country, killing their leader with a cane and taking all their treasure... well his Scrooge McDuck and I guess he can do whatever the F-- he wants..."

Acroding to TV TROPES page http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VideoGame/DuckTales :
"Unlike the NES titles, the remake will feature the actual voices from the TV series(Including Alan Young as Scrooge McDuck, who is 94 at the time of the game's announcement) However, some characters (Like Gizmoduck and Flintheart Glomgold) will feature all new voice actors due to the passing of the previous actors"

First the new Mickey animated shorts.
Now this.
All in the span of a few weeks.
Someone check the calendar... because it feels like Christmas. :)

Somebody needs to ride the momentum and announce a new comics line.

Do what I'm doing: if you have twitter, contact @WayForward and let them know you want Aaron Sparrow and James Silvani working on a promotional comic for the game. Otherwise, just email Capcom and Way Forward. This is, perhaps, our best chance to push for a new Disney Comics license holder, by cashing in on a license holder cashing in on a licensed game about cash.

This is a must buy.
I happen to love Ducktales and its contributions to the duck universe. Just like I don't mind different interpretations of Batman or other fictional characters, I have no problem with Ducktales differing from Barks and the comics.
From a tv animation standpoint, I consider Ducktales to be historically significant and at the heart of a 10-12 year span where some series showcased what the medium was capable of delivering. In fact it still ranks among my five favorite animated series of all-time, along with Real Ghostbusters, Garfield and Friends, Batman The Animated Series and The Simpsons.

I REALLY have hope for PC version in future after relase on PS3/XBOX.Also like someone says for rest old games for nes remastered (Rescue Rangers as example)

I heard about this a week ago and I could barely contain my excitement for it. Well it's official. I must get a Wii U now, it's kind of like the anvil that broke the camels back. I wonder if they will revamp the music for some of the similar levels or change it completely.
The voice actor for Gizmoduck died? I never heard about that. That's a shame. Same with the voice actor for glomgold but with his age (I'm guessing it was somewhere close to Alan Young) it's hardly surprising.
