Yep it was running too slow with AA turned on. I never bothered to buy a graphics card since I don't do much gaming... But turning it off works great.
The cinematics are kind of excessive. But it's enjoyable. Playing with an original NES controller hooked up through a USB adapter :)

I don't dislike Doofus, but he's just kinda...there. His part seems to be split between being Launchpad's sidekick and the unofficial fourth nephew, both of which really weren't necessary. When your main kid in a show is triplets, they really don't need a best friend to talk to, they have each other. Also, Webby;s part as the tag along (unofficial) little sister had a better character dynamic than a fourth "one of the guys". With Launchpad, if he were the show's hero, then maybe he'd need a sidekick more often, but usually he was the sidekick (and comic foil) for Scrooge, and again, Huey, Dewey and Louie were there to be Launchpad's "fan club", so once again, Doofus really wasn't needed much for THAT role either. Doofus's part was usually just played better by other characters (except maybe for his turn as "Superdoo"...none of the others would have fit that role as well as Doofus (well, maybe Donald Duck, as in Barks' Walt Disney's Comics and Stories "Super Snooper" 10 pager...but let's not take even that one away from Doofus...).

Yhe. His the type of character I don't mind but I just don't care much for either. Outside of his Launchpad fandom he appears to be nothing more then a collection of negative trades and fat jokes... His stupid, cowardly and whimpy. There just isn't much positive valuse to him (maybe out side his loyalty to Lauchpad) so his just there to make HD&L to look "cooler".
Well the upcoming sequel "Duck Tales 2 - Rise of the Doofus" will make thigs right agian... (It's only in my head but darn it! It will be a cool game)

Here's a review by Mike Matei of Cinemassacre.com, whose opinions of Carl Barks I've brought up on here before:
http://cinemassacre.com/2013/08/16/ducktales-remastered-thoughts-by-mike/
Turns out that he bought Carl's personal National Geographic collection at an estate sale, and is only 10 issues away from a complete run of Barks' comics! Rabid fanboy much? :P

I think Matei missed the entire point of what they were doing, but that doesn't really surprise me.
The game is fantastic. It really is. I loved it. People criticized the story segments for being intrusive... I disagree completely. I LOVED that they expanded the story. I loved that they talked about why things were happening, because it didn't seem like a non-sequitor.
The music is fantastic, the animation is great (especially considering their budget), the gameplay is tight, everything is intuitive and fun, and they even snuck a Rosa reference in there (the Temple of Manco Capquack)! The voice acting was EXACTLY like watching a DuckTales episode.
The game had two flaws for me, one of which is me being a nitpicky jerk (which is my default state), the other of which actually made me scream at the screen.
The first is the story: It does not actually have a narrative that follows any structure at all. You get great stuff like the Himalayas (with the exception of Bubba's odd placement), and if the entire game had been like that, I would have been happy. It was a mini-DuckTales episode.
But it suffered the problem most of the game had: No setup. You'd get a story-related climax when you finished the level, but nothing really built up to it.
This doesn't break the game. It's still reasonably funny and whatnot, I just seriously hope that for DuckTales 2 they hire someone like Aaron Sparrow and James Silvani to work on the plots and dialogue. Something that involves a real, hand to God story, rather than just cutscenes.
The second is the final, final sequence, which is totally broken and frustrating. There is no nuance to this. The last level, or rather, the final section of the last level, was impossible for me to beat without going to Easy Mode, which gives you unlimited lives.
Considering I had spent 70 lives on that sequence, it was either that or not beat it at all. I hadn't gotten a single game over the entire rest of the game, despite playing on Hard Mode, to contrast. If you're a better gamer than me and can actually beat that sequence, my hats off to you!
The game's worth your money. Not 'oh, support WayForward', or for nostalgia's sake, but because despite its flaws it is a fantastic game.

I really liked the game, but I can clearly understand anyone who gave it a 5-6 out of 10. If I still was 10 years old, this would be the greatest experience ever. However, now things have changed a little bit. This review sums up very nicely the game from different perspectives.

With Ducktales, I always felt that as the show got away from its original concept, it lost a little something. I felt it when they tried to "jam" characters into the mix - be it Bubba, or Fenton, or Genie.
I know some people loved those characters, but I always felt the entire concept of Ducktales was altered when they were used. To me, Ducktales was about the adventures of Scrooge and the boys, with doses of webby, duckworth and Mrs. Beakley.
In fairness though, a lot of cartoons from the era suffered from the problems of venturing too far from the original concept - Ducktales, Real Ghostbusters, TMNT,etc.

Actually this game is probably the only time I found Bubba amusing. There is something just cute about his video game apperance...
Webby did felt a bit pointles in "Transynlvania" level...

I hate to tell you this Looney Ray but Doofus is not in the game. Maybe you meant to say Bubba.

I agree with you people that Bubba should not be bashing Webby's dolls and it's not fair that Scrooge treats the nephews better than he treats Webby. You think Doofus is going to be in the sequel? That might be a possibility. Duckworth wasn't in the original version of the game and Gyro only appeared in the bonus level but they appear in the Remastered version so I'm not going to be surprised that Doofus would be in the sequel. He was the only major character that wasn't in the game.
