The news that Glomgold's family history was partly revealed through a new comic story by Lars Jensen and Marco Rota inspired me to make a Glomgold family tree, which you can see below. Of course, it's not that complete (yet), but I enjoyed looking up some of the relatives.
As you can see, the tree still lacks
- Scans of Glomgold's parents
- A better quality scan of Stoneheart Glomgold
- The name of Glomgold's Texan cousin from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=D+2006-230
If you have any remarks/additions/questions about the tree, please tell me! I enjoyed making it and I hope you'll all like it as well :).

She and Glomgold did date in one story but it was just some plot by Glomogld to trick Scrooge so I woudn't count it as actual romance...
Glomgold is one character I think works better when he have zero family... to me it's part of who he is (no loving relatives etc. just cold loneliness and isolation)

Just as is the case with Scrooge, Glomgold would have lazy relatives trying to get money from him, and, perhaps a bumbling nephew, like Donald, to support at times and get him out of embarrassing situations (and to force into helping him perform dishonest actions to help him become richer than Scrooge (Slackjaw).

I guess Flintheart Glomgold doesn't deserve to have a family. That's one thing that makes him different from Scrooge. That and the fact that he is more dishonest.

You're right; it wasn't much of a relationship the two had in that comic. However, I like the story and the character so much that I included her anyway, just as a reference to that story. I also didn't like the fact that there were so few female characters on the tree, and figured this would be a fine solution.

Today, I added new character the tree: Nantucket Nellie, Flintheart's fiancée from his prospector days. She appeared in http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=D+92393 , where he returns to Duckburg to marry Glomgold.

Here are some scans of Flintheart Glomgold's parents and Stoneheart Glomgold, Scroogerello, and if you want you can adjust and resize them so they fit the family tree better, which looks great by the way!
http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv39/Quackberg/Stoneheart%20Glomgold.jpg http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv39/Quackberg/Flintheart%20Glomgolds%20Father.jpg http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv39/Quackberg/Flintheart%20Glomgolds%20Mother.jpg
I have read that story with the Texas cousin - but have no idea what his name is unfortunately.
I also agree that Flintheart shouldn't have any family around him as he has no time for them and probably thinks they would just get in the way if he would meet them. What I also like about his relation with his nephew is that he thought he could use Slackjaw's genius for his businesses, but as always it backfires on him as Slackjaw would rather be chilling out and hang with his friends. Which of course would be something that can be used more in stories with Slackjaw - by having Flintheart trying to make the lazy and modern Slackjaw figure out something ingenious for him, and also getting frustrated when Slackjaw don't understand things from the old generation from which Flintheart comes from. So in the end I think that Flintheart for the most part thinks it's better to things on your own.

I've been using PowerPoint for the trees I've constructed so far. It's simple, very easy to use and (in my opinion) it gives a fairly good result. It's also easy to save the images as .PNG files, so that I can post them on the forum.
By the way, I've uploaded all my other Disney character family trees to my Disney Wiki user page (http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/User:Scroogerello), and update those whenever I find a way to do so. As you can see, there are still a number of character scans/names missing on those trees, which are the following:
Pete's brother Pedro Bafo-de-onça from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=B+860071
Pete's grandpa Gambadistagno from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2518-6
Pete's aunt Pierrette from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=I+TL+2002-3
Pete's cousin Petra from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=S+81146

A good quality scan of Stoneheart Glomgold from http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=D++5952
If you happen to have accessibility to any of those stories, please tell me! Any other additions/remarks are very welcome, too! :) Here's the updated Glomgold family tree:

Have you done Daisy's family tree? Aunt Drusilla...April, May and June...and there's another niece of Daisy's (not one of AMJ), Paperella or Polly, in the highly rated Italian story "Qui, Quo, Qua e il tempo delle mele", where one of HDL falls in love with her. (Perhaps IDW will publish this story and give this niece an English name.) If she's not a sister of AMJ (since they're approximately the same age, I'd say that's a safe bet), then Daisy has to have at least two siblings. Do we know whether AMJ are the daughters of Daisy's brother or her sister? (Have I asked this before here on DCF and forgotten the answer?) Is it established that AMJ's last name is Duck? I don't know whether Marconi gave Paperella a last name in the "tempo delle mele" story, or stated whether she was the daughter of Daisy's sister or brother. Additionally, there are a couple more aunts of Daisy's on Gilles Maurice's tree.
I know that some stories have portrayed Daisy as a relative of the other Ducks/McDucks, e.g. as a niece of Scrooge and/or cousin of Donald, but my head canon is too firmly Barks/Rosa to allow for that. Duck is just a common last name in that world.

I'm also wondered if you should create a family tree for Daisy like what Matilda said. It would be great if you create one for her.

Hmm... It's interesting to hear that she have more nieces that are not AMJ but why was Paperella or Polly also created as Huey's girlfriend? I prefer a different girlfriend of HDL who is not related to Daisy Duck's family. Sadly, this is one of the stories that I don't consider as canon to my own headcanon Ducks Universe.

Daisy's family tree would be an interesting challenge, indeed. I believe the niece that you're referring to is this one: http://fr.picsou.wikia.com/wiki/Floretta_Duck . Additionally, Daisy has got a nephew called Desmond (http://coa.inducks.org/character.php?c=Daisy%27s%20nephew%20Desmond&view=1) and another niece called Dottie http://coa.inducks.org/character.php?c=Daisy%27s+niece+Dottie . In Carl Barks' "Flip Decision", Daisy visits her sister (her address in Duckburg is also mentioned, I believe). April May and June seem to live with that sister, which has often led to the conclusion that Daisy in AMJ's maternal aunt. Daisy's three little brothers (HDL's lookalikes) were seen in the cartoon Donald's Diary, which also introduced her parents, who also appeared on a portrait in Lars Jensen and Flemming Andersen's "The Danger Caves" (http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=D+2007-144). Daisy's family tree might me a little bit too excessive, since she has got so many relatives (as opposed to the characters of which I've created the trees so far), but I'll see what I can make of it. :)
BTW, I have to say that I'm not really fond of t that "theory" by Don Rosa, stating that Daisy is HDL's father's sister. Would you guys want me to include that one in a "Daisy Duck family tree" or leave it out?
Any other family tree suggestions?

So...AMJ's last name presumably *isn't* Duck, if they are the daughters of Daisy's sister (and said sister's children had husband's last name, as is the "traditional" practice in Duckburg). Unless this is a case (as with HDL's parents? Is HDL's last name "Duck"?) of two persons with the last name "Duck" marrying each other.
You would get to decide whether either Desmond or Dottie could be a sibling of AMJ or, alternatively, of Floretta/Paperella/Polly. I wonder whether it is said of any of them whether they are the child of Daisy's brother or of her sister?
I agree with you in preferring that Daisy not be related directly to HDL's father. I believe Rosa may have suggested that as the only way she could literally be the boys' aunt, since they call her Aunt Daisy. But I don't think he argues for it strongly (I may be misremembering). In any case, as someone born in the 1950's, I can witness to the fact that American children used to refer to close adult friends of the family as "Aunt" or "Uncle" with first name, when "Miss/Mrs./Mr." (this is before "Ms." was used) would have felt too formal. Children did not then call adults by their first name only, as many of them do today. "Aunt/Uncle" was the honorific a child used for an adult family friend. So the fact that HDL call Daisy "Aunt Daisy" need not point to any connection by blood/marriage.
Personally, if I were doing the tree, I would leave out the cartoon-only little brothers who are HDL-lookalikes, but use the parents who have appeared in a portrait in a comics story.
