Very nice drawing. It's Disney Studio art style. The so-called "Carl Barks style" looks nothing even remotely like Carl Barks' style to me. If you meant "comic book style" (rather than Animation-style), that makes more sense to me.

That was great, really funny stories and the animation style drawings was very good! And as Robb_K was saying, that it didn't really look like Carl Barks style but Donald in the black sailor suit would fit the comic style overall, but you have your own drawing style which would be great to see more of.

I'm impressed. It's nice to see the animated models of the characters used. ESPECIALLY with Goofy. Integrating the characters and background is difficult with this style, but it can be done. The only thing I'd hope is that you forget the blue in the Duck eyes: always seemed silly to me.
The style you're using for the 'comic' Donald isn't Barks, sure, but that's totally fine with me. Imitating Barks should not ever be the end goal. And the facial expressions are well done in a way you don't typically see. I'd have to see a longer comic to give any sort of criticism on posing, but I'm impressed. Crowd scenes might be more difficult with that style though because of how you people generate the focus on the panel.
I really do want to see a long-form comic in this style. An adventure or 10-pager, but something.

I also appreciate your drawing, and enjoyed especially the Goofy Iron Man story. In the Evil Scare story, I *knew* there must be a reference or two I was missing, DarkAsh! The expressions on Donald's face in the Ghostbusters strip look to me more like Fethry's (as in Al Hubbard's art) than like Donald's...but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I agree with Robb_K on the "Barks style" page not being Barksian, but being fine comic-book style.

Hey, guys thanks for the good words. I did the Barks comic upon a request but I'm aware is not my style. Carl Barks was and still is the great. He can't be imitated and certainly is not my intention either.
I hope I could work on a Disney comic using my style.

I'm glad you're saying that, cause too many people seem to think that imitating Barks is actually the end goal. He's wonderful, but slavish imitation and an unwillingness to do something different is NEVER a good thing. I'd like to see a comic in your style as well.

I've never believed in imitating anyone to acomplish a goal. I do understand and respect Mr. Barks work dearly. I grew up reading his comics but I developed my own style on the way. I think that something different needs to be done in the comics but never EVER something that subtitutes Mr Barks' work.
Maybe Disney shoud try a different and brand new title.

Ah, now I know why your signature looked so familiar, you're the guy from the Looney Tunes comics! Bravo, I loved that series! Unfortunately, it only ran for a year and about 13 issues here in Germany, but it was a fun read back in 1999/2000. Keep up the great work! I have to agree, though, that the modern TV series style Donald doesn't work well in a classic setting (with simple instead of painted backgrounds). Especially his facial expressions. They work okay in something like "Mickey Mouse Works" or a comic based on one of those shows, but in a real classic print duck comic, they would need to be toned down or be made more dynamic for a real "cartoony" style like in the Italian comics. But the "computer/cell animation" style as seen on modern Disney TV shows would just seem odd in a classic setting.
By the way: These self-made Muppets puppets from your photo gallery are incredible!!!

It would look out of place, but I'm quite happy to see the status quo for Disney art shaken up and I wouldn't want him to change a thing. Especially since the current house style for the comics has... problems.

If I ever get a chance to work on these Disney comics I'm pretty sure it has to be an alternate Donald/Mickey title. Obviously my style won't fit the classic more passive comics. Everything has to be re-done. Characters, backgrounds, lettering should all fit the animated version.

True! Your style would work perfectly well for something like Gemstone's "Three Musketeers", the comic book adaptation of the movie of the same name:

It would certainly be fun to see an American comic book title in the animated cartoon style in the future. Not as a replacement of the classic stuff, of course, but in addition to that. Too bad it's still completely unclear when and whether any titles with the classic characters will come back to the US in the near future.

We still don't know what the future of Disney comics will be. Let's keep up our hopes.
