Of course! The original is by Luciano Bottaro, who was one of the most expressive Italian artists, as opposed to Giuseppe Perego, who was certainly the least expressive.

I find this type of censorship as not making things more PC but making them more stupid/childish.

For the record, the French version I have leaves the gun intact. Per inducks, the only Norwegian publication is from 1974. it seems likely that editorial stances have changed since then.
