Does anyone over here know what is the situation with the Swedish extra books of Carl Barks Samlade verk?
Three of them already out. Fourth still coming:

-Vem är vem i Ankeborg (who is who (all character appeared on Barks' comics)
-Bruno Björn och vänner (Barney Bear)
-Carl Barks De tecknade filmerna Animationsarbete vid Walter Disney Studios (animation works)
- upcoming book of oils, containing all Barks Disney paintings

I was following this oil painting book on my internet bookshop, and now they say it is sold out!? Even before it had been published?!!?
all swedish bookstores list its status as:
Status: Definitivt slut

Definitively sold out.

Las time I heard about the book, editors were seeking the best possible printing proofs for it.

What is the situation? Any editors over hear? Stefan Diös? Someone?

No worries, the book is scheduled for after New Years, but with a new ISBN (if I just manage to get the final correct print files to the printers today). This book may actually be of interest to non-Swedish collectors too ?? yes, the text will be in Swedish (or Norwegian in the Norwegian edition, of course), but Barks' paintings are kind of international :)
And the book is compiled by Geoffrey Blum, which I'd say guarantees quality.

Adlibris bookstore still says: "Titeln är ännu ej utkommen", "The title is not yet published".

I got the book couple of days ago! It's a beauty! All Barks' Disney paintings on single volume! More than 400 pages. Only one minor minus come from the fact that some of the pics are printed on 2-page spreads so that inside margins snips little bit of the image from the center. Printing quality is otherwise great. Tons of joy! Happy happy joy joy...

Got mine three weeks ago (from Norway) and I'm still trying to absorb the impressions. As Timo says, it's a great book.
Geoff Blum has done a hell of a job, collecting and gathering all the information.
Now, all we need are these waterfowl and feathered flying objekts...

The thumbs doesn't give the right impression when the painting is over two pages. Some of the image is lost in the middle.
They are not fold-outs as in "The Fine Art...".
Except from this, the book is great.

Yes, that should be mentioned. The book would have worked better in an oversized landscape format.

It's a little bit difficult to see the text in the thumbs, but it looks like English to me.
If Charlie Brown's wish should come true, a landscape version would be best :)
(But I think a German version is closer to reality than an English...If I should bet on it :D)

The German Disney publisher recently confirmed they're "thinking about it". So there's at least a chance.
