I came across this character whil I was searching on the INDUCKS. Apparently, there was a short series of newspaper comics during the 1980s, in which Ludwig falls in love with a woman named Alice, whom he met though the 'Absent-minded dating club' :). I've read the INDUCKS scans of the comics, and for some reason I found it very funny. I wish that she had been used afterwards, as she's not well known by most fans.
I mean, really, aren't these two the perfect Disney Duck couple? ;)

By the way, there's one appearance of her that isn't indexed: http://coa.inducks.org/story.php?c=YD+85-07-11

How do you read them on INDUCKS? The scans are tiny!

Well, I guess that I've got some mighty good eyes, then ;)
But, seriously, I browsed them on my smartphone, so I was able to zoom in without it keeping me from reading it. In Ludwig's INDUCKS gallery (1980s) there are a couple of better-quality-scans, although some of them are only show a part of the actual comic.

Looks a little like Brigitta. In a role I wouldn't mind her in, for a change. Maybe she finally gave up on Scrooge and decided to pursue his brother-in-law (though if so, she really seems to have a thing for older men).

While the Donald strip during the 80s wouldn't measure up to the Al Taliferro years they still have a charm to them.

I was thinking the same thing.
Though when I was a kid I always thought Ludwig and Scrooge kind of looked alike. Especially when the animated Scrooge when drawn with gray whiskers.

Interesting! I didn't really look at The Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse newspaper strips after the mid-sixties, or so. Who was the artist in the early '80s?
