Three years worth of comics in one book, that's better than the Gottfredson series. Taliaferro did the comics from '38 to '69, that's 32 years... If they went all the way with this, it'd take up 11 volumes. Supposing it sells, we'd get two books a year, that could mean a complete Taliaferro library by Autumn 2021.
Would this volume include the Sundays?
And what do you suppose will happen to the Silly Symphony Sundays, such as the one pictured above (October 1937)?

They should also include Taliaferro's 30-strip page (10-full page equivalent) story that was printed in a Wheaties (or was it Cheerios?) giveaway comic book ("Counter Spy"), and the long Moose Hunting story that also appeared in a March of Comics, and his 2-page Donald Duck stories from WDC&S, and his long Bucky Bug WDC stories, and any other stories he drew for Western Publishing.

Why not rather have separate sections in each book for daily and Sunday strips? Taliaferro's Donald Duck Sundays are a different story than Gottfredson's Sundays. Whereas Gottfredson stopped drawing the Mickey Sunday after only six years (a run that fits nicely into two hardcover books), Taliaferro drew both the daily and Sunday installments of Donald Duck for his entire career. I'd say it makes more sense to include a chunk of Sundays running for the same length of time as the daily strips in each book, so we can see the strip's gradual evolvement in both formats.

Yes, I think I also would prefer the Sundays together with the Daylies. But IDW has - with good resuts - used both ways for different series.
I would like to know their reason for publishing the Daylies without the Sundays.
