I thought of having a series that has new characters and another town across from Duckburg.

Hey, I've got one!
Well, as you might have understood from what I've written in some other threads here, I love the character Fenton Crackshell from "Duck Tales". However, I think his girlfriend Gandra Dee is so terribly wrong for him, that I don't even know where to start describing it. The writers were usually good with coming up with interesting female characters (okay, most of them were villains, but still...). However, they failed miserably there. The DT writers obviously thought, that it was more important, that Fenton's girlfriend was a beauty, than that she was someone, who would have considered dating him in real life, and I think that was just so wrong. So just to show people what it could have been like, maybe even what it should have been like, I came up a parallell (but mostly identical) duck universe, where I replaced that boring prettyface Gandra with a more suitable girlfriend for Fenton.
Her name is Darlene McDuck. She's Scrooge McDuck's niece and Donald Duck's and Gladstone Gander's cousin. (Scrooge had a brother in my universe, who became Darlene's father, but her parents died early, and she lived with her uncle Scrooge for many years.) She would have been an important character in "Duck Tales", as she helped out raising Huey, Dewie, Louie and Webby (she's like a big sister to them), but especially in the Fenton episodes, where she appears as a much more loving and supportive girlfriend to him than what Gandra ever did. (The way I see it, they got engaged in the last episode of "Duck Tales", and are now married with three children.)
Darlene is more bookish than any of her cousins, and in many ways, she's the most intelligent of them. But she also has the hot temper, that runs in the family, and she has a tendency to mess up and act silly, which can make her seem like a more flawed person than the only too perfect Gandra Dee. But it makes her more understanding of Fenton, who's an equally flawed person, while Gandra was far too normal to be able to appreciate him like she should have done. Darlene is typically the only character, who will comfort Fenton, when he's upset over something, not to mention how she always will defend him, no matter how badly he manages to mess up. And what does she look like? Well, she might not be a duck Barbie doll like Gandra, but she's still a fairly attractive girl, and she has a beautiful reddish blonde hair.

That is interesting. Maybe Gideon is Darlene's father.

Scrooge had a brother named Gideon? I thought he only had two sisters?

Furienna, in Don Rosa's stories Scrooge only has two sisters. In Romano Scarpa's stories, however, Scrooge has the brother Gedeone (http://coa.inducks.org/character.php?c=Gedeone). And in William Van Horn's stories Scrooge has the half-brother Rumpus (http://coa.inducks.org/character.php?c=Rumpus).

Aha, I get it now! Thank you!
Well, I haven't thought much about Darlene's parents, since they weren't important to the story (they're already dead, after all). I just know this much: Her father was Scrooge's brother (hence why she and Scrooge have the same last name), but both her parents died early, so Darlene came to live with her uncle Scrooge as a teenager. But hey, since I've read more "Donald Duck" comics from Italy than from any other country anyway, let's say that Gideon was her father.

I have another idea for a new Disney Character.
Gemstone Gander
Genus Pedigree: Duckbill (Anthropomorphized Goose)
Relatives: Shamrock Gander (Son) Goostave Gander (Father) Daphne Duck (Mother) Gladstone Gander (Brother) Grandpa Dabney "Humperdink" Duck (Grandfather) Grandma Elvira Coot Duck (Grandmother) Quackmore Duck, Eider Duck (Uncles) Hortense McDuck, Lulubelle Loon (Aunts) Donald Duck, Della Duck, Fethry Duck, Abner Whitewater Duck (Cousins) Huey Dewey and Louie, Dugan Duck (Second Cousins) Casey Coot (Great Uncle) Gretchin Grebe, Susiebelle Swan (Great Aunts) Cuthbert Coot,Kildare Coot, Fanny Coot (Second Cousins) Luke Goose (Second Cousin-In-Law) Gus Goose (Distant Cousin) Clinton Coot (Great Grandfather) Gertrude Gadwall (Great Grandmother) Cornelius Coot (Double Great Grandfather) Pintail Duck (Ancestor)
Pets: Unknown
Friends: Donald Duck, Huey Dewey and Louie, Scrooge McDuck, Gyro Gearloose, Daisy Duck, April May and June, Gladstone Gander, Grandma Duck, Gus Goose, Fethry Duck, Etc.
Enemies: The Beagle Boys, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica De Spell, Etc.
Description of Looks: Gemstone looks a little bit like Gladstone except that he has black hair and he wears a green shirt and a pair of sunglasses, white spats and a crown shaped hat.
Occupation: He doesn't work.
Description of Life: Gemstone was born on the same day as Gladstone but when he got older his parents sent him away to boarding school.
When he grew up he married someone and became the father of Shamrock Gander.
Reasons he could have been added: It would have been nice for Gladstone to have a brother.
Reasons he wasn't added: He looks too similar to Gladstone.
Personality Traits: Unlike Gladstone Gemstone doesn't believe in luck he tries to work hard and actually is a shame of his background.

Hey, Roger! I decided to take your advice in the "Show off your art" thread and mention Marcia in this thread, since I posted a drawing of her.
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/5201/marciacs3.jpg
Marcia Crackshell is the daughter of Fenton Crackshell and Darlene McDuck (remember, this is "an alternative duck universe", where Gandra Dee doesn't exist). In this picture, she's wearing a super suit, that's very much like her father's Gizmoduck suit. Her super hero alter ego is called Destiny.

Hey Cool Furienna. So Darlene McDuck is Marcia's Mother. That would make Scrooge her great uncle and Huey, Dewey and Louie would be her distant cousins. You should write a fan fiction about this sometime. It would be cool to read.

Yes, Scrooge is her great uncle, Huey, Dewie and Louie are her second cousins, and also, Donald and Gladstone are her first cousins once removed (but she calls them "uncle Donald" and "uncle Gladstone"). Maybe I should also mention, that she has a little brother named Travis and a little sister named Phoebe.
And I'm working on fanfics, and I hope I can get something finished for publishing soon. But I'll start with Darlene and how she met Fenton.

I'm sorry Angus but I can't see your Clan McGoose family tree. Could you describe at least some of the members?

Same for me, but when I copied it and put it into Paint it was OK.
Angus, are the clan McGoose from the Barks-story where the duck's visited Scotland (also clan McMoose was mentioned)? I guess the McGoose-members are your own invention. You follow Don Rosas tree well enough, have you seen Gilles Maurice's tree on Calisota Online?

Which Barks story are you talking about Asger? I have The Old Castle's Secret and The Hound of the Whiskervilles. It must be the latter story because I do recall Scrooge mentioning the tartan of the Clan McGoose but nothing further is mentioned about them.
