Oh...my...gawrsh! :) I'm glad I'm not the only who felt that way! :D I was so intrigued by "Life and Times" that I made a private music mix for it!!

But I've had Duck related songs on the brain since I was watching Duck youtube tributes which made me nostalgic to check out Duck fan sites, which led me here to this forum. I highly recommend the L&TofSM tribute vid set to Flogging Molly's "Selfish Man", it's simply amazing! Someone also did a great one for Goldie and Scrooge to the song "Love Letter" which fits so well with those final moments from "Hearts of the Yukon." Also, I would say that listening to "Lydia" is a must before reading Tresury of Croesus, I hear it on NPR a few months before I able to track down that story and read it for the first time, which made it so much more enjoyable. In fact, I break into a smile whenever I think about Donald singing it. For some real fun, watch the Muppet version of "Lydia" on youtube. (I'd link all these vids, but being new here, I'm not sure what the rules are for linking such stuff or had a chance to see if another thread already has such a topic yet on Duck releated youtube vids).

Other Duck related songs I can think of - The 3 Caballeros of course, which Rosa used in one of his stories as a musical number in a comic on less. I'd love it if Disney would released a soundtrack to 3 Caballeros ans Saludos Amigos all the music in them is wonderful, but Caballeros can at least be found on the Disneyworld soundtrack for the Mexico pavilion ride.
I have an album called Zorro and his Romantic Guitars. It has an instrumental of "You Belong to my Heart" that reminds me of Barks's In Old California story.
Then there are the songs that aren't in the comics but have the Ducks singing them like The Spectrum Song by Ludwig von Drake, Ducktales Theme, Boogie Beagle Blues, Bubba Duck (thought it isn't on the Disney Afternoon Album like the others two). There is a wonderful album called Disco Donald (probably out of print now, but I'm sure used copies exist) that collects most of all the Duck releated songs from various albums that Disney has put out over the years like Disco Mickey Mouse, Mousercize, etc. There is also a song about Jose Carioca on the Disco Mickey Mouse album as well called "Welcome to Rio."
Recent videos and this topic really does inspire me to create my own Duck playlist though. If I put one together I'll post what's on it.
Did Barks or anyone else write any lyrics in any comics for Shoeless Pashley songs?

It's funny, I want to do something in the future that's exactly the other way around. When I hear a song, I sometimes think "what if this was background music" and start to think up (a) story(boards) to go with it. However, I haven't passed the sketching stage yet.
