Murry has drawn Disney comics featuring Phantom Blot several times.
Which year was his first effort published and what was the name of the story ?
Roger North
I think it was 1964 and the name of the story was The Return of the Phantom Blot unless you count the remake of Mickey Mouse Outwits The Phantom Blot.
Runner
Correct answer ! Altough I actually referred to the 1955 remake which was the first he drew but your answer was complete !
I ordered a copy of that 1955 comic book just a few days ago. If you didn´t now about the Floyd Gotfredsson original it would be even more attractive, but I think Murry was at his best then so I want to read his version also - for the first time in my case as a collector of all Murry´s longer stories before 1965 or so.
Roger North
Okay it was 1955 that Paul Murry did his remake of Mickey Mouse Outwits The Phantom Blot. Do I win anything for my answer? I have the original Floyd Gottfredson version reprinted in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #s 605-607.

You win the honor of being the winner, and may compose another Murry question if you like :-)

Okay What was the first Mickey Mouse story that Paul Murry ever drew?
Lars Jensen
Quote from user: Roger NorthOkay What was the first Mickey Mouse story that Paul Murry ever drew?
Do you mean on his own or with others?
Roger North
Either one Lars.
Runner
The first comic book Mickey Mouse story drawn by Murry was the one in Vacation Parade 1 from 1950 and it was his first art (both penciled and inked).
I have to "cheat" looking in INDUCKS to state the exact title : The Monster Whale.
I haven´t read it for quite a while (including the Barks story Donald´s Grandma Duck which was not included in the Carls Barks Library in Color) so that must be done soon !

The first MM strip both penciled and/or inked by Murry maybe also can be found at INDUCKS.

February 12 1945 was the first daily MM strip penciled by Murry and inked by Dick Moores published according to INDUCKS.

Thanks for the info Runner. I guess it's your turn to ask a question about Paul Murry.
Runner
OK, here is another question :
Why has Murry drawn as many as three different stories dealing with railroads ? And which are these stories or where were they published the first time ?
Roger North
I don't know that one Runner.
Runner
A clue is that the reason for this is not directly "Murry-oriented" and if you identify the actual stories INDUCKS may be useful (combined with Wikipedia!).

Were they all Carl Fallberg stories?
Germund
I assume you're asking for these three stories, all written by train enthusiast Carl Fallberg (who drew his own cartoons Fiddletown & Copperopolis for Railroad Magazine for many years).
