I just checked out the "free comic book day" website, and noticed that Fantagraphics is putting out a free Donald Duck comic, said to contain three Barks stories (all ten-pagers, presumably, as the total page count is listed as 32). Woo-hoo!
Also on the Disney comics front, Papercutz is putting out a flip comic, Smurfs and (!) Disney fairies, featuring Tinkerbell. I wonder whether Papercutz has a Disney license for fairies only? Just how specific do those licenses get?

That Donald Duck free comic book day issue sounds cool.

That makes sense, as last year, Fantagraphics published a Free Comic Book Day Mickey Mouse comic book, to help market their Gottfredson Mickey Mouse hardbound series.

Looks like Fantagraphics may be the soul Duck Comic for The Disney Duck Comic Franchise!
I'm glad that someone responded for a Duck Comic-Hungry Region!

This will probably be the only issue I pick up on FCBD. Thanks goodness, it's been a few years since a good FCBD duck book came along.

I received today the FCBD comics, and also this one. If you want to know its content (I don't want to spoil it if there's someone who wants to wait until tomorrow) I just did a post on Papersera.

As admirable as Fantagraphics' Gottfredson and Barks projects are, until they're doing something more than just reprints, this seems to me to give them too much credit.

Yes, Robb, tomorrow is FCBDay, and my initial post on this thread was about tomorrow's comics. As Fantagraphics put out a Mickey comic to advertise their Gottfredson hardcovers, they are this year putting out a duck comic to advertise the hardcover Barks series. That's the only Disney comic this year, aside from the Disney fairies I mentioned. You can go to the "free comic book day" website any time to check on what's being distributed.

i've been out of the circulation for a while
anyone can get me multiple copies of this FCBD issue?
i would also like to get past FCBD Disney issues if anyone knows whoever still got some left and willing to part with reasonable price
I can pay with Paypal, let me know at (Email removed)
I prefer to get it from DCF community before i move to eBay as last resort, hoping that somewhere there's a store person here in DCF that can help me get multiple copies of this year's FCBD.
thanks,

It's a good book with decent paper quality and decent colour, and nice Barks stories. I hope that Fantagraphics gets the traditional Classic Disney Comics characters franchise next.
