Today the 600th anniversary of the birth of the French medieval heroine Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) is commemorated in France. Are there any commemoration/celebration of the anniversary in French Disney-comics like the Picsou.magazine? Maybe a story set in the past with Daisy or Magica de Spell in the role of Jeanne d'Arc?
By the way, Don Rosa has in his "The Crown of the Crusader Kings" demonstrated that modern dates are not exactly compatible with dates predating the introduction of the Gregorian calendar of 1582 when 10 days (10-19. December) was left out of the calendar. One of these ten surplus dates in the old Julian calendar was February 29th 1500 ?? so by 1412 there was only 9 surplus dates. Thus January 6th in 1412 is January 15th in the Gregorian calendar. Are there any debates about these dates in France these days?
