Great News! I'd like to write and storyboard some classic 1940s-style José Carioca stories for them, IF they'll accept old-fashioned "new" stories, rather than the "new" Brazilian Carioca style. I hope they will have a decent sized production level, not just a "token" production.

Great! I like Brasilian Carioca-stories very much. Do you think it's probable that Brazil will start and keep a regular production again, instead of just a few stories?

There is now a *possibility* that Abril will restart production. In fact this is a discussion Abril have been making over the last 10 years. It's far for been a fact yet.

Of course I want so much that Rodrigues' report become a reality: In the past 10 years I wrote and/or draw 5 (!) totally new Disney stories trying to convince Abril to start production again. :)

Abril has been repositioning Disney's comic books since its contract with Disney was renewed, last year. Several new magazines have been released since then (and mainly after the most important competitor of Disney in Brazilian newstands decided to renew his contract with Panini). So, definitely, the times are different now of what we saw in the past years, when Abril came to consider the adoption of severe measures for Disneys comic books. The possibility of restarting production, so, is serious. Is it my "opinion"? OK... but until now Planeta Gibi never made a mistake in its forecasts... Anything can happens. The end of the world can be antecipate to this december... who knows?... By now, I keep the information.
