"Some Gottfredson strips"? Fascism forbade Mickey because in december 1941 the USA declared war to Italy, Germany and Japan! Perhaps you refer to Walsh/Gottfredson story "Mickey Mouse in the Second World War" (1943) where Mickey defeated Peg-Leg Pete who was working for nazists. This story was offensive for Nazism and Alberto Becattini stated that for that reason Hitler forced Italy to close "Topolino" in December 1943 but the last issue of "Topolino" containing Mickey's stories was #477 (February 3rd, 1942)! "Topolino" between February 1942 and december 1943 published only non-disney stories.
