Topic: A good place to sell Disney?

(31 messages)

Hi!
Do you know a good message board to sell Disney stuff? I have GAZILLIONS of Brazilian Disney toys and comics on my collection.
I need to move to a new house so I want to get rid of all Disney collectibles that I have bought over the last decades. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Why not put them up on ebay and advertise here? There's also /toy/ on 4chan.

.... if you want to be brave enough to ford the nonsense of 4chan. XD

Thanks WB!
I tried Ebay once - but no one really cared about Brazilian comics.

The good people at papersera.net allowed me to sell my books there. Let's see what happens =)
Thanks again!

Should we open a marketplace topic for Disney comics? Or is that not allowed here? This could be the best place to reach international Disney readers.
BTW: Why do I have an Irish flag?

My opinion is suspect but I'm always a sympathizer of 'marketplace' sections in message boards. I had bought and sold a lot of (non-Disney) stuff in other forums.
I had announced some of my comics in Papersera yesterday: http://www.papersera.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1285110908

Feel free to drop me a line ((Email removed)) if you're interested in any of those books.

Let me guess: you're on your way back from the U.S. and wrote this message during a stop at Dublin Airport? ;)

I think we should have a marketplace here for Disney items. A lot could come out of the woodwork and I'm sick of ebay myself.

I'll second that, economic times are rough, and I could use a couple of bucks selling my stuff, unfortunately (just say no to ebay)

I love Ebay. What's the problem with it?

I've sold stuff on ebay with no notable problems.

I guess I am just tired of selling only on ebay. The fees are high, you can only accept Paypal, which takes another % out - and sellers are now at risk of feedback blackmail.....if there is any little thing about the auction they don't like, you almost always have to submit and bend over backwards to keep your feedback reputation from getting hate mail......it's just really geared away from what it started as....I've been on for 10 years and it's just not as user friendly for sellers as it used to be. Plus, you never really make any money unless you're selling something really pricey due to the fees that eat up a lot of your profit.

Yes, you are absolutely correct on all counts. I buy and sell on Ebay and it's definitely been a buyer's paradise now for a couple of years. Sellers do get the short end of the stick. And Amazon is no better??in fact it's worse. Still, Ebay is an amazing tool that allows a seller to reach buyers globally.

Don't get me wrong, I love buying on ebay. I just wish I had another outlet for looking around on....I know a lot of other forums I visit have marketplaces.....it's a cool idea because you get to trade and buy/sell with other fans of the products/genre and not just to some random person on ebay.....

Same here, I love ebay for buying, but twice I have sold to people there (shipped with tracking) and then after nearly a month they file a dispute with paypal and get to keep the item and get their money back ....
scammers everywhere :(
edit: yes, delivery confirmation is what I meant when I said tracking; it just seems that paypal always sides with the buyer, since they can say: "all he sent me was an empty box"

That shouldn't happen with delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation shows proof the item was shipped and delivered. That's why it's called delivery CONFIRMATION. You should have no problems with PayPal with this service.
