Looks like Uncle Scrooge will become a DuckTales title for 4 issues, starting with #392:

Good times for Disney Afternoon fans! Hopefully this generates more attention for Uncle Scrooge comics in general.

I just read that... whoah, how'd I miss it?
Here's another story on Newsarama:
http://www.newsarama.com/comics/Duck-Tales-oo-100319.html
I'm down with some DuckTales... this is the Scrooge I grew up with. :)
Now, does that mean that all Uncle Scrooge stories from here on out will be DuckTales, or will they mix 'em up? Is this a temporary thing? Or will the book eventually just be renamed DuckTales, dropping Uncle Scrooge altogether... or will they have two books?
EDIT: D'oh! I just re-read it was for 4 issues. So I have to wonder, will they spin this off into a new DuckTales book...?

I'm down for this..... as long as it's temporary. I mean Ducktales, in itself, is just an offshoot of the original duck story paradigm. Granted, Ducktales, the television show was based from Bark's original concepts, and it brought a lot of fans to the forefront in its heyday; I still think it lacks the same electricity as the other format of Uncle Scrooge comics. It is nice to change it up once in awhile though.

I hope this is just a preview of what a new Ducktales comic or album series will be. I don't want them taking away page space from the only Boom! classic style Disney comic format.

US is the perfect place to try out Ducktales, as the best DT stories were just like US stories with Launchpad instead of Donald.
I'd support a new Ducktales title, as long as they don't end up cancelling Uncle Scrooge in favor of it the way they canned Mickey Mouse after four issues and spun Wizards of Mickey off into it's own series. Having US and a seperate Ducktales at the same time, on the other hand, would be a double dose of awesome. (More the Ultra Heroes model, I guess you could say)

I don't mind a 4-issue highjacking of Uncle Scrooge, but I'd like to see DT get its own series after. I grew up with both and would happily buy both now. :)

I'll echo what others have said... it's great to see some DuckTales stories after all these years, but I hope that doesn't mean we lose what few traditional stories we have left in Uncle Scrooge.

I think it would be cool if they had a Duck Tales series. I just hope they don't cancel Uncle Scrooge.

I need to buy them as soon as they release them!!
The storyline seems to be on a new Gizmoduck. Does this mean Fenton is no longer GD?

I don't know Tlaloc. I can't imagine anyone besides Fenton as Gizmo Duck.

In this story, Launchpad and Giz switch jobs... it wouldn't be this one, would it?

I can't say I blame you Anemo. If it wasn't for Duck Tales I wouldn't have started reading Disney Comics.
