There was a story called Skating Along by Vicar that might be the on you're
thinking of, with Donald skating against Gladstone. Maybe 8-10 pages? It was
a race down a frozen river with Gladstone cheating all the way. Donald had
to jump over barrels and save an ice fisherman, etc.. In the end Gladstone
won the race but Donald was invited to a big dinner for the fisherman he
saved. The last panel is of Gladstone standing out in the snow peering in
through the window at the huge feast everyone else is enjoying. Here's a

According to the D.U.C.K.M.A.N. website, "Word is now out that a
"Lo$-II" softcover-book including all Lo$ B-chapters will be published by
Gemstone during 2006. Gemstone also seems to have plans about publishing a
hardcover-book with all Lo$-chapters (original+B-chapters) ca. 2007."
I consider this great news, if this is true (anyone from Gemstone
confirm?). I do love the softcover books and intend to purchase the second
one in 2006. I think they both serve as a great means to introducing people
to the world of Disney comics through Don Rosa and then Carl Barks.
However, for us rabid fans AND collectors, a hardcover book collecting
almost everything today associated with the "Life of Scrooge," including the
new upcoming chapter 8-B story, just sounds wonderful, and it feels complete
(in my opinion). The only problem occurs if and when Don Rosa decides to do
further "in-between" chapters of the series at or after 2007 (provided he
still is writing and drawing for a long time to come I hope), then that
hardcover edition becomes lacking once again. That being said though, it
would be complete as of now and no Rosa "Life of Scrooge" collection could
ever become truly "finished" for a good number of years, I'm sure.
Certainly, I'm so excited at both of these project plans, even though 2
years seems so far away. What do people here think?

just glancing at it, I would say it is a Big Little Book type book--
and looking it up in a BLB book, I see it is
Mickey Mouse and Pluto (c) 1942 (but published circa 1943)
part of Dell's FAST ACTION STORY BOOK SERIES

We identified a very negative impact of the bad july
decisions from our local publisher the Editora Abril :
Next december, only readers live in S?o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro
and Belo horizonte are going to be able to buy Disney Comics Christmas
editions.
Readers live in another brazilian cities, only are going be able
to buy the magazines in February 2006, with our carnival parties !
Absolutely ridiculous !
I ask for all disney fans around the world, and specially for the Disney
Latin American and Brasil Company to see with attention the brazilian case.
One more time :
We need Uncle Scrooge here in S?o Paulo as faster as possible.
Like the histories, he needs to manage personally his business in Brazil !
If possible, with Donald and the boys !

I never thought of those. The format is not as I remember it. From my
memory they are more square. This one is much taller than wide. Or maybe
the BLB had several formats ?

I never thought of those. The format is not as I remember it. From my
