To list:
Happy New Years everyone!!!! Now that it is 2006, Don Rosa's latest is
probably only a short time away. However, does anyone have a definitive word
on its release yet and which issue numbers it will appear out in Europe? I
know that I've asked this question before, but now that we are beginning a new
year, maybe specific information is or will soon become available.
Regarding posts on Rosa's upcoming, if any, stories, I certainly hope he
and Egmont can forge a mutually beneficial arrangement. I cannot imagine
that comicbook company mistakingly allowing itself to let go of its most widely
popular author of Disney comics overseas, especially when Rosa has expressed
an interest before of always continuing his work, provided he gets treated
fairly. As for content, I'm all in favor of shorter gag-stories too, but as
long as we still can read those sprawling McDuck epics at least once a year, I'm
a truly contented fan!
Once again, happy new year, and may 2006 be a good year for all Disney
comics and creators, namely in America, which needs the good news the most!

Happy 2006 !
Gemstone geared up this year, with the production of one-shot issues such
as "Mickey Mouse Meets Blotman", "World of the Dragonlords", "Somewhere in
Nowhere", of a surely beautiful "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" (I'm
waiting for the hardcover), and of the gorgeous "Mickey and the Gang".
I hope all these have been deservedly successful enough to produce more such
books.
Regarding the regular comics titles, my wish-- and it's the only thing I
find "missing"-- is that they will start featuring extra material, as
Gladstone's titles used to: a page on a story (Don Rosa's notes are always
most interesting; such notes by Van Horn or duck scholars would be great
too); something similar to "The Year That Was", pages from old Disney
magazines, ...
The Disney archives are rich enough in material, and there are enough (many)
knowledgeable people to write about the comics and present said material.

According to the February issue of Wizard (#172) there are some more Disney related titles coming out in 2006 from Slave Labor Graphics in addition to HAUNTED MANSION. Be on the look out for GARGOYLES, WONDERLAND and TRON. According to the magazine, WONDERLAND should be out sometime this month, although I don't recall it being solicited in Previews, and I usually search for Wonderland related items being a long time fan of the literary work.

Yes, my only complaint about this is... why Wonderland? Lewis Carroll work is not exclusive of Disney. But now Disney launch this one with black haired Alice? Is some way to keep the franchise? Sorry I am a bit paranoid with this things, but maybe Disney thinks they are the owners Alice in Wonderland, and they are not.
Anyway is an interesting line of comics, Tron, Haunted House and Gargoyles. I was a big fan of that show... I think was the first one of use the legend of Illuminati in TV.

Carroll's writings fell into public domain decades ago, and that includes
the 2 Alice books and all their characters. Marianne is only a
'semi-invention', though. You may recall that the White Rabbit confused
Alice with his maid, Marianne, so she apparently was as 'real' a person in

I wonder... Whas the true Orgin of The Phantom Blot ever shown? Whe
saw the man behind the mask many times, but what's turn this poor fellow
in to a black-masked, ploting world domination (Yet to soft hearted to see
somthing die) evil criminal master mind?
Whas he born in a Criminal family? Whas he good person but some accident
[like his girlfiriend left him, he got fired, a Mickey Mouse look-a-like
Bully pick-at him in Scool, ect.] change him in to a evil one? Or maby he
did a simple mistake of having Dr.Doom, Dr. No and Dr. Claw as his his
psycholigist's... ;-)
[Actualy I do remeber a Italian story when Blot mention he had passion for
Art in the past and there was one-panel flash-back showing him without the
costiume, dress-up like a painter drawing a girl holding a dolar (wich was
propebly Joke refering to the fact his a Walt Disney caricature...) but I

During the last year, I've been trying to collect as much as I can of
information about LO$ (especially published that in Egypt).
Yes, it have been published in wrong order. which took me along time to
recognize :S
It was published by Dar El-Helal. which stopped publishing Disney comics two
years ago and now it is published by Nahdet Masr
Anyway, I was able to get and scan the following chapters in Arabic.
The index to the left is the original chapter's index, and to the right is
the index as published in Egypt
2-The Master Of The Mississippi chapter 1
3-The Buckaroo Of The Badlands chapter 2
4-Raider Of The Copper Hill chapter 3
5-The New Laird of Castle McDuck chapter 4
6-The Terror Of The Transvaal chapter 5

12-The richest Duck in the World chapter 12
As you can see. there was a shift in one chapter but 12 chapters were
published, so the first chapter must have been published as 9, 10 or 11.

The only piece of information I've got is that chapter 10 was published in
issue number 1838 which must have been published in June 1996
Knowing that they were publishing the LO$ one chapter a week - maybe with
one only gap of two or three weeks-, LO$ was first introduced in issue 1825
published around March 1996

Chapter 12 is sometimes called 'The Recluse of McDuck Manor' and
sometimes 'The richest Duck in the World'. 'The richest Duck in the
World' is sometimes also used as the title for chapter 11.
