Not really. While I've always been one who prefers stories that have covers to match the insides, Disney Comics have never always maintained that status quo to any regular degree (barring the Disney era itself whose covers and cover policies I actually liked depending on who drew them and how they looked). I'd like that lax policy to change over time though because that was one of my primary gripes about Gemstone's almost constant use of gag covers - especially with some amazing stories they printed that already had amazing covers on hand. (Mythos Island and The Orb Saga for example deserved much better covers than what we got. Same goes for stuff like The Shambor Trilogy, etc etc etc) Gag covers are fine once in a while but, I've always felt that the cover should reflect the insides of the book and immediately catch the buyer's eye. It is supposed to be the first thing you see after all.
The cover for 700 was a generic Ultraheroes cover, but I think it worked in context. I am agreed though in saying that I'd eventually like to see more content specific material reflected.

Maybe he means The Shambor Quadrilogy. I never read any of those stories. I hope they make a tradepaperback of those stories. It would also be nice to see tradepaperbacks of Mythos Island and The Orb Saga. Maybe I should do a thread that asks which stories people would like to see reprinted.

Sounds like a good idea. But you should probably clarify what you mean by "reprint". Do you mean reprinted in the monthlies (like Mickey Mouse and Friends) or do you mean collected into hardcover books/trade paperbacks (like Boom's recent Christmas book)?

I'm really glad there was a WvH story in this issue. Would've felt very wrong to have a milestone as big as 700 go by without a hint of the book's roots included.

Yes it is cool that they have a William Van Horn story. He is the last one of my favorite artists who is still active out of the original six. The others include Carl Barks, Don Rosa, Floyd Gottfredson, Al Taliaferro, and Paul Murry. All of which are dead except for Don Rosa. He just retired two years ago.

overall I'm liking the series, I'm hoping to see more fanart of Inquinator or Spectrus out there soon :)
PS: It may be just me, but Inquinator sort of reminds me of MegaVolt from DW, in way of his style of humor, at least.

i would like to see the origin stories printed at some point. it'd be nice to see where the characters on what teams come from. :)
