I've been anxiously waiting for the fourth and final volume of the Ducktales DVD set to come out this month, but just like the final volume of Darkwing Duck, it seems to be on hiatus, for whatever reason. Word on the streets is that it may be released for Christmas----if at all.
Would anyone have any news on this? Thanks...

I stumbled across this picture while searching.
Apparently, this was suppose to be the second line in the Darkwing Duck toy series which was canceled shortly after the show was canceled as well which sucked cause apparently I think in the fourth season Darkwing Duck was to fly his own air craft called the Quack Copter.
If you look in the corner there, you'll see the model of the Quack Copter!
Darkwing flying???? Too bad we didn't get the chance to see it!!!!
and they dont released this !

They have to release that volume! It would include 75% of the Fenton episodes, for crying out loud!

mexican fan and Furienna, I feel your pain---I was looking forward to the rest of those Gizmoduck eppies. :( I wrote Disney about it, and got the usual "We'll contact the Marketing Department, yada yada yada..." Let's hope they finally decide to release them.
Btw, mexican fan, I clicked onto that link and it said "file not found"---looks like the DeviantART "police" nailed poor DarkwingFan again. :)

I've been waiting for this one also. They can't release 3 volumes and not finish off the series when there is just one more to go. The same goes for Darkwing. I have looked and can find nothing about them.

That's just a stupid thing to do, to release three volumes and then stop. I hope they release volume 4 soon, during 2009.

I think you're going to see this with a lot of older animated shows right now.
The economy isn't good and some companies are just not willing to take the risk (and you can't really blame them).
My guess is that you may see stuff start to pick up in late 2009.
Right now Disney has to tie up loose ends with DuckTales, Gummi Bears, Rescue Ranger and Darkwing Duck.

Hopefully they will soon. At least if it's for economical reasons (which are affecting most everything
we do these days), it would be understandable, rather than from lack of respect for these shows.
But Toon Disney and The Disney Channel both seem to be going the way of Cartoon Network (and even Boomerang) and phasing out the older shows, so now we have to fall back on the dvds. If they so much as brought back the late-night "Vault Disney", even once a week, that would be great.

How does one respect a TV show?! I can understand respecting a person or an opinion... but a TV show? In my opinion, entertainment should be liked or loved -- or just evoke some kind of emotional response. But *respected*?!

I've seen plenty of TV shows that don't deserve any respect (at least not mine), though I guess that must seem an odd choice of word if you look at it in its most definite sense. So if we must compare apples to oranges: one can respect the work that went into the shows, i.e. the art, the voice-work, the story line, etc. etc. Or respect the feelings people had for the shows, not to mention what Disney stands for and meant to say many of us. But you see where I'm going with this.
