I'm sorry, I couldn't even understand what it was that the sea monster ate according to one of the nephews. I've replayed it several times and turned up the volume and it's just unintelligible. Maybe that's why I don't find it funny in the least. <shrug>

I think it's only funny in its original context. Scrooge was secretly shipping his money in ice cream trucks. Of course he couldn't admit it was anything more than ice cream, since the guy who informed him was still in the room, and FWIW IIRC the "seamonster" was actually a submarine invented by Glomgold and some mad scientist.
As for my favorite moment, maybe I'll say the last scene, or rather the last adventure scene in "The Golden Goose" with Scrooge racing to put the Goose back on the pedestal, turns Scrooge himself into gold for a few seconds, and then ends up on the pedestal himself, turning everything back to normal. A pretty unpredictable adventure scene. I remember there were some pretty funny moments in that episode too, i.e. the Beagle Boys in drag, some of Gyro's attempts to turn the boys back to life, some of Poupon and Dijon's exchanges (Dijon: What do I do if [the Goose]falls off?/Poupon: This is the secret...you put it back on./Dijon: Ah. I can do that.) Funniest moment throughout the series? Maybe when Glomgold wishes in front of a genie that he "could see the look on Scrooge's face," who he wished away to desert island, and ends up on the island with him. I sort of saw the ending coming though since it was nearing the end of the episode and on most often everything on DuckTales was resolved within a half-hour.
Funny thing about that episode BTW. I remember when I saw the movie I thought "Could they really pay this little attention to continuity? Scrooge already found Aladdin's lamp - twice, counting a Gladstone comic story where he buys it at a flea market - with completely different genies." Maybe Glomgold's final wish, that they never found the lamp at all, changed history to the degree that the genie at some point changed into a young duck.

I think the second season episodes were just as good as the first season episodes. Scroodude in the episode Masters of the Djinni the lamp was Aladdin's but in Duck Tales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp the lamp they found belonged to Colie Baba. (a spoof of Ali Baba) Also the two Genies were obviously two different genies. The genie in Masters of Djinni was a dog while the genie in the movie was a duck. Maybe when they made the movie they forgot about that episode.

Scrooge likes green....as in greenbacks...:)...but, I guess you could say blondes too...as it is very similar to gold!
