Also, Henry Fox is a big Rosa fan, as far as I know. Clearly not *all* Rosa fans feel uncomfortable criticizing Don when he has made what they perceive to be a mistake.
And when adults make jokes of a sexual nature in a forum aimed at kids, it should always be a matter of concern.

I know. I was there. He didn't say that he was seriously ill. In fact, he downplayed his eye problems (which I thought was a very considerate thing to do considering how upset some of us have been -- and some of us still are). He said that his eyesight after the operation had improved and was continuing to improve, but even so would remain sufficiently bad that any future stories would take him an eternity to draw. And therefore he would not draw them. (This is my wording of what Don said, not his actual words. And there were other reasons for not doing more comics. See post #59 by Sigvald at http://dcf.outducks.org/viewtopic.php?id=239&p=3 . Again: thanks for making that post, Sigvald.)
