Personally I wouldn't care if the movie was in 2-D or 3-D as long as it is released. Of Course I'm not getting my hope up.

How could humans play duck-people? What was the point of Barks bringing The Ducks and their World to life if we're just going to turn them back into humans?

I've always thought that the ideal live actor to play Scrooge would be Sean Connery.

The point is that the ducks in Disney comics act completly like humans. So I don't see any problem with an actor playing Scrooge. Just ignore the fact that they are ducks and imagine the story with humans. It would work!

Wouldn't be much point to it, in my opinion. The whole charm of it is that it is the ducks. Otherwise, just skip the licensing and make your own rags to riches story featuring a character meeting up with famous historical figures on his road to success.

I agree with most of the people on here that it should be cartoon ducks. Too Bad that not many people can relate to them.

I think there could be a resurgence of identity with the ducks...I mean just look at what Ducktales did to us in the 1980's. Next to the Real American Hero and transforming robots, it was the talk of the town! I mean, they have been around for 50/60 some years. I DO think it would be much better if the movie was done like the new TMNT movie or perhaps along the lines of Toy Story (The Bee Movie,...etc..) animation style. That style nowadays seems to appeal to kids and adults alike. It could be done if Disney stops making sappy princess stories and gets down to what could really be awesome in the future to come. What is more memorable than the adventures of Uncle Scrooge with Donald and the boys?

I don't agree at all that it has to be in that 3D animation style. I guess I'd have to give it the benefit of the doubt until I saw how it was implemented, because I'd still like to see something done with Barks adventure stories besides outrageously expensive reprintings. They still would have to update Donalds voice though if he were to have his necessary major role. Something akin to the nephews voices on Duck Tales, where it's got that "wak" sound (for lack of a better term) but still is intelligible.
