Hi all!
I need a confirmation that the guy in this photo really is Al Taliaferro.

If it is, it will be used in the second Swedish album reprinting the Donald Duck sundays from the start.
(The album with the first sundays will be out this x-mas.)

So? That doesn't say everything. As COAzilla shows, Inducks can be wrong at times.

I uploaded it myself to the Inducks website with a legend stating:
(?) - from the blog Sekvenskonst
So from the beginning it has been clear that it was unsure.
Comparing the photo with the "one with the newspaper", I tend to think it's him, but I can't be sure of that.

This is Al Talioferro as a part of the recipients of the 1963 award of a Duckster-statuette (along with Karp, Gottfredson and Gonzales)
Its an excerpt from a picture in "MM in Color" with Gottfredson/Barks...

He looks pretty much like the younger picture. But, even so, that is not a certainty that they are the same man.

On this page, they give another alleged photo of Taliaferro where the man looks again like in the first picture in dispute, only older:

They are great - with the dimples (smilehuller in danish) that confirm Steffans picture.
As of his height, I can deduce that the height approximated on Gottfredson and the person Stefan considers as Taliaferro, are simular on the picture I found.
Strange though, that so few pictures are available on the internet !

I think we can conclude that the photo in question IS Al Taliaferro. All 3 photos show facial features that are consistent with aging.

Hi -
I am currently writing a book about Al Taliaferro, and from the other pictures I've seen, I'm 99% certain the picture you have is Al Taliaferro. It was probably taken when Donald Duck was still in his infancy and Al had just begun to bring him to life.
I'd like to hear more about the publication you're working on.

I've sent the photo to the editor and it will hopefully appear in the album. :)

L W Rooks: This is a series of x-mas albums collecting all of Taliaferro's sundays from the very start. They are restored from available material. Old sunday pages are scanned and the colors removed. Then re-colored. Proofs seems to be impossible to find. (If anyone can help out with proofs please let me know.)
Regarding the book YOU are working on I sure want to hear more! :) If you need any help, this forum might be the right place.

If it's from the very start, will it also go on on until the very end? Or how far exactly?
