Silence? Chip said that he'd answer all our questions on the BOOM forum. Why don't you go there and see what he says?

Another thing worth noting is the nice production value on these. If anyone picked up Mickey #300 you'll see the new paper stock. And the covers Chris has been securing for these are incredible (both pick-up and new).

Sadly I think that's just a result of Disney comic fans being burned so many times. Our hobby can be rather heartbreaking sometimes. I find myself often waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I have been waiting for this news since Boom took over the titles. I've always felt that a healthy mix is the way to go. If anything, you can serialize stories, both old and new, and give people something to look forward to every month.

There's only one thing I worry about: it reminds me of the Gladstone lines. That's good for the quality, but I doubt if Boom's Disney comics will last long...

I hear you and I think American Disney fans have come to expect the lifespan on any publisher to be 2-5 years.

Boom Studios is already 5 years old (I think), but have the Disney licence since 1 years and a half. I think they're doing a quality job and are very receptive of the fans (hence the upcoming changes in the classical line), so I believe they will keep the licence longer than the others. Of course, apart from Darkwing Duck, the sales aren't great either...
(I would hate to see them going extinct before given the chance to release a TaleSpin comic...)

Sooooo, Mickey Mouse 304 was out this week - did any body get it yet? (still waiting on shipping here!!) With Comics and Stories 715 hitting next week, the time has come to talk about how Boom's 'Classics are back' phase is kicking off. I'm really hoping they pull out some great stuff....
