How about making the front page of your site a protest page, protesting
KOMIX' publishing non-Disney material in their pages?

One thing these Aragones/Evanier stories have made me realize is how
good a story teller Barks was. Barks could unfold an entire adventure in
a mere 10 to 24 pages, while it takes 96 pages for Aragones/Evanier to
tell a story. Reading through the first part of "Groo and Rufferto",
I can't say there's much going on in the first part. In this respect,
Don is even better than Barks, as he manages to cram an astonishing
amount of both action and information in his meager allotment of pages.
Of course, the size of the stories and the amount of "padding" they
contain probably has more to do with marketing (the publisher asks for
a 96 page four-parter, they get one), but I can't help wondering what
kind of story Barks or Don would have produced, had they been allowed
such a large page count.

If you mean F JM 98235: Topolino e le dolcezze del Natale, there is no
need for being Italian: The story was also published in Sweden*) (in other
Egmont countries as well?) and Finland *2) - although the Finnish publication
is a bit difficult to get unless you are a subscriber of Kuukauden
sarjisekstra.

I apologise to our many Greek and Finnish members (and those of any other
Nations whose language I did not represent. I would appreciate seeing the
Roman Alphabet spellings of "Happy (or) Merry Christmas" and "Happy (or)
Good New Year" in Greek, Finnish and any of those other languages. Thanks.

Yes, he's the same person. He's also credited for Mickey Mouse dailies
1962-68, and for the "Mickey Mouse and His Friends" daily strip (1959-1962).
BTW, Harry: the Inducks currently reports Milt Banta as writer for "Mickey
Mouse and His Friends", but - according to Alberto Becattini's "Disney
Comics" - Roy Williams stepped in starting from April 1959.

Hi! Hope you all had a very merry christmas!
And back to business. The Finnish reprint may be very hard to get.
Sarjisekstra is not distributed to any stores, you can only order it if
you ordet the weekly. So you only get one magazine and can't buy spares.
Well, someone may sell his issue but hey! It's an Scarpa story. Who would
want to sell that?
BTW. This distribution policy of Sarjisekstra has made their value soar.
The first issues published in 1999 fetch prices like 100 markkas (about
16-17 euros) in second-hand comic-shops that know the comic business. And
they are are like normal weeklies. (Even a bit shorter actually: 32
pages).

I'm asking this question because someone asked it in the discussion forum on
my website: Can someone tell me when the next Don Rosa story will be
published in Norway (or Scandinavia), and what story it will be? I seem to
recall that someone told us about The Crown Of The Crusader Kings several
months before it came, so without knowing HOW, I guess someone here has the
possibility to answer these questions?
