Even if there are two previous pages about this, written with Don's quotes,
I've spent a little time to compose a more direct and synthetical FAQ page
about him, suggested by what I've read in the past years in the list.
(For more detailed questions and answers, it links to the pages named
above).
Of course, I've made grammar mistakes and, above all, I could have
misunderstood Don's view about some themes...
bye

I don't buy the Daisy's brother being the nephews father thing... As for
them calling her "Aunt Daisy", I still go by the theory that Barks was
using the tradition of little children calling close friends of the family
"Uncle" or "Aunt/Auntie", which is probably true.

It used to be the same reason for Fethry Duck, but he was allowed to be
used a lot until recently, which actually had to do with Egmont's
financial status. I've also heard rumors that one of the Egmont editors
enforced this no Ludwig policy because he was terrified of him as a kid!

It's normal. I still have some friend's of my Mum I call "Aunt's" even they
aren't conected with me by anny rud's.

One more seson (if you want to cnow my teory) why it's rith theat Daisy's
Brother is neph dad is the fack she alwey's spend Christmas and some other
hooliday with Donald and his family.
I mean if she's not a part of the family why she rather spend hooliday's
with Donald and his Family insted here Family?
Of course here whole family coud be death (like poor Ludwig) and she don't
have no body else to turn for Christmas...

This isn?t exactly an FAQ, it was just a special on the two big german Don Rosa fansites (http://www.duckmania.de/ and http://www.don-mcduck.de/), for which he kindly answered some fan?s questions (thanks again :-)) we had collected from our visitors beforehand.
But as there are some frequently asked questions about Don and his work in our guestbook as well, we already considered writing such an FAQ. Maybe we?ll manage it next year and get it translated, too.

I was told that one of the big European licensees (I forget which one)
that gives Egmont most of its funding HATED the new Fethry Duck... You
know, the one that you, David Gerstein, and a few others were using, where
he has his own personality. Rather than risk going on thin ice with them,
they stopped using him all together, with the exception of your T.N.T.
stories (which I think are very funny). I have no idea if this situation
is still going on though.

Hah?! What could you possibly mean by that? Did you think Egmont needs to
pay Disney individually for each Duck used per story?
Timo Ronkainen
Local Wiklund department store had Disney themed Christmas window display
with life size dolls of Mickey, Donald and others this year. I decided to
share this fun little thing with all of you in DCML.

Because she's Donald's girlfriend and wants to meet his family? (And has
been Don's girlfriend for so long that HDL call her Aunt Daisy.)

Jeez. What a depressing thought... :-)
