Does anyone know when Don Rosa's latest story might be published by
Egmont? I know that Don Rosa himself said that it may not appear until the
Spring at the earliest now. Any further news in Europe on this matter?

This must be the Little Golden Book. A story book with illustrations by Carl
Barks and Norm McGary. Barks provided pencils which McGary painted (And he
did swell job! Pictures are really nice! I have a Swedeish version of the
book).

I just finished reading Don's "Escape From Forbidden Valley" and while I
picked up the references to a famous movie that he talks about in his
commentary (not wanting to spoil it for anyone yet to read it), did I
also pick up a reference to a Monty Python movie?

The Italian Disney scripter Nino Russo is looking for copies of any Disney
comic published outside Italy that carries a story by him WITHOUT CREDITS.
Essentially, he is looking for evidence of the fact that (until very
recently) Egmont, Hachette and most Disney publishers would print stories
without crediting the authors; and of course he is interested in evidence
about HIS stories (he is a scripter, not an artist). The most recent these
comics are, the better for his project.

Who can help him, sending him copies of (preferably not too old) Disney
comics which carry his stories but do not credit him? You can check through
COA (http://coa.inducks.org) whether a given story is written by Nino Russo.
He will pay the cost of the comic and of the shipping. Please contact him

I don't know if Cesar Ferioli draw Asterix. I just hope Don Rosa or
something more would write the last albums and NOT monsieur Uderzo. From Le
grand Foss? to the last one is a very big dissapointment...

Yes I can. In the eighties I was working in a studio with other young
artists as me, in Barcelona. Wages were extremely short and works very
different... and for several countries, too!
Maybe we were one of the cheapiest producers in the world, that was the
secret of our success. :-)For us it was a good way to learn the job...

One of those jobs was *Asterix*, among others... But *not* the regular
Asterix everibody knows... It was only illustrations, posters, calendars,
games and other minor stuff to Ehapa Verlag in Germany. I've never meet Mr.
Uderzo in flesh and bones, and I've never worked on the *true* stories of
Asterix... Of course I would have liked that a lot!!!

Finally I'm agree with your opinion about latest Asterix stories, the plot
is not the same! But Goscinny was one of the best scripters in the world,
and it is impossible to follow him!
