Years ago (before any hardcover bound Lo$ came out) I took my copies to a bookbinder and had them bound.
It cost about $35...
I'm thinking of doing that again with all of the "B" stories
and the original series...
the Lo$ set is not that hard top find in the States...

I got the 2nd installment of the Carl Barks Collected
Works today, containing Volumes 2, 12, 22.
I've not yet looked carefully through these books,
and not yet scrutinised the Blum articles, but my
impression is that the books have been very carefully
and lovingly prepared. Perhaps the colours are just
a little bit toned down in comparison with Volumes
1, 11, 21, where there were various critical reactions
from Denmark?
A question: what do the Swedish, Danish, German
versions have on pages 293-294 of Volume 2?
I ask since I have contributed these exact pages
for the Norwegian edition, writing about "Realistic
Donaldism". My understanding is that these pages
would or could be "local" in the sense of leaving
these for separate contributions in Norway, Sweden,
Denmark, Germany.

Today I _also_ got three versions of the "Hall of Fame"
Vol. 10 book, which is "Don Rosa Vol. 3", in respectively
Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish. I'm happy to see
my contribution about foxes and hedgehogs appearing
in all three (pages 4-5):

I have what might be a carl barks page of comic book art and have narrowed it down to about 6 different comics. This is the pencils with dialogue baloons but no text. There have been mistakes in my past messages about Douglas McDuck, and
mistakes in the inducks database and in my site followed...
I told there was a Douglas look-alike cousin in D??7296 (the hillbilly
cousin)
actually there wasn't : the scrooge cousin which is dressed like douglas is
freddy fryseand, and appears in? D??7146 (northwest territory)
so we've got to remove that comment on inducks about D??7296
the cousin which appears in D??7296 (called cousin andreas in danish) is a
look alike of the uncle appearing in D??8074 ("scratchpot", by vicar, called
medard in french and uncle alexander in danish), and these two character could be
the same, can anybody confirm this?
I don't know why I made the mistake of calling freddy "douglas" in my tree, I
think it was because inducks formerly listed douglas as a character of one
story (D??7296? or?? D??7146 ) Maybe Andreas is named Douglas in the US for
instance...
about the relation between douglas and abner, the only solution i see is?

Simple as that: I was browsing in the INDUCKS and
found that story
(I TL 420-A) which was said to be Carpi's art, and
which shown scan I had serious doubt about being
Carpi's: I though it was Bottaro's instead, but not
being an expert I didn't want to be taxative.
I turned out to be, as Harry told me, just a mismatch
on the shown scan.

stories from the Italian Topolino and Zio Paperone.
